I was very pleased when towards the end of 2020, Crowded House announced a new album and that they would be touring again. However it took another 18 months for the tour to cross the Tasman due to omicron. This would be their first tour in Australia in over ten years. Tickets weren’t cheap and I opted for the third most expensive tickets, which got me seats a little further back than I’d really have liked, but on an aisle. Being on an aisle had both its advantages and disadvantages as my video clearly shows.
This time around the band's line-up featured founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour along with producer and keyboardist Mitchell Froom, and Neil’s two sons, Liam on guitar and vocals, and Elroy on drums. They sounded as great as they ever have. I’m not really sure how I ended up with so many songs recorded except to say Crowded House have so many brilliant songs that it’s impossible to stop at just a few:
World Where You Live (00:25)
Pineapple Head (05:14)
When You Come (09:40)
Private Universe (15:07)
Four Seasons in One Day (22:06)
Don't Dream It's Over (25:07)
Locked Out (30:27)
Something So Strong (33:42 )
Whatever You Want (39:36)
Into Temptation (45:13)
Better Be Home Soon (49:55)
