Glad you did this because I’m getting nothing this week. That just give me a chance to back two next week because that’s how it works.

I'm planning a crowdfunding campaign, but I'm going to wait to time it until it can be campaign #3,000.

Congrats on 2000! Solid week, interested in Dutch Resistance, Rove, Zorro, and the Syrup double pack. Probably not enough to back them now (shelf control!) but I hope these sppear at retail or in a reprint campaign down the line. Love the gift!! 😂

Appreciate you covering Eye of Zamrock. I know i asked for it and sucks they cancelled, but the funding wasn't there ❤

I backed Dutch Resistance. I think the theme is so strong in this game. It's also very well received by the first wave of players.

I'm only backing The Secrets of Zoro. It's a simple game that's easy to teach and has some wonderful charm. I don't have too many light games in my collection, so this will be a nice addition.

I hope you like it! I also think the same :) hope it turns out that way!

I was gonna back Mysticana based on that promise of a foundation deck for future games, but yeah now that you mentioned it, the decks do seem pretty much standard

Congrats on 2000 games! I can't believe someone actually put the rules at the top. I also can't believe that regicide is going from a game requiring free downloadable instructions and a deck of poker cards to a game that costs over $100.
@RolandIronfist134 ай бұрын
Because now it needed design, play testing, producing, a large box, stickers, development. Turns out a standard poker deck is pretty cheap, even with custom art.

I finally got to table Slay the Spire this weekend! We had a blast and the companion app is great for keeping track of where you left off so you can save between Acts. Now the only kickstarters from 22 I’m waiting on are Barbaric and Nanolith.

I didn't know there was a companion app, that's great! Although I guess I ALSO have the companion app... But it's the game on PS4 haha
@sideswipe26154 ай бұрын
@@RoomandBoardReviews touche! The board game also did a great job distilling the core of the game while dumbing it down enough to be played easily on a table top. I can’t wait to play more of it!

I have not played Gloomhaven or Too Many Bones but I am fascinated with both Rove and Elders Scrolls: Betrayal of a Second Era. Most of what turned me off to both of the previously released games seemed to have been fixed or fine tuned in both of these newer releases. I can only justify one campaign purchase this year but I can't help but love Rove's smaller footprint, easy setup, and price point. 🤔
@gowest77974 ай бұрын
Thanks for considering Rove. We worked hard to make Rove easy to table and easier to teach and play.
@minaya4 ай бұрын
@@gowest7797 I just backed it =] The community as a whole seemed to have nothing but great things to say about yourself and Rove. I sadly missed the boat on Crimson Scales (at this point I'm priced out of it because resellers want an arm and a leg) and have heard consistently it's a solid experience. Very excited for Rove, thanks to you and the team for all the work you've put into it 🖖

Took me a while to finish the video, lol hope she likes the cats with whiskers and wings :D Already had backed Rove before, glad you "approve" :P just looks like a solid game makers and just a good game overall and standees, decent price.

I kept my Without Our King pledge till the end. I think it does look fun but I just couldn’t as I also wanted Rove 😔. …but if you want to donate your Rove copy, I’ll have enough to Late pledge WoK! 🤗

I was curious about Regicide Legacy, particularly since it's in NZD so it's a rare occurrence of the conversion being slightly in my favour, but I was not expecting it to be as expensive as it is. The high price point for what is essentially just a card game put me off the campaign, but maybe I'll look into it if/when it hits retail (and if there's some good reviews for it).
@RoomandBoardReviews4 ай бұрын
Yeah someone mentioned in the comments it's wild it went from a free print and play rules set to a 100 dollar game.
@BrentonM4 ай бұрын
@@RoomandBoardReviews Definitely. I'm guessing the high cost must come from all the neoprene playmats that it comes with (the rest just seems to be cards and stickers I think). I also find, for me, that the 'legacy' aspect hurts it a bit when I'm trying to assess campaigns like this as they can only tell you so much about the game because it's all secret and it would spoil the experience if they told you more, so you kind of just have to either wait for reviews when it releases or take a leap of faith that it'll be worth the cost.

Congratulations turning 2000, you don't look a day over 1000! I gather Button Shy wallet games are too small and too cheap for you, so it's a fine line? 🧐😁 I backed the Masters of Maple Syrup and Downstream combo. Backed their earlier campaign Reforest as well and I'm really looking forward to it! Looks like they do a great job with those small box games!
@RoomandBoardReviews4 ай бұрын
It's more for Button Shy that I don't really ever carry around pocket games. I've played Skulls of Sedlec and it was good for what it is, but I'm not really the market, especially since so many are solo games, or best at solo. I also generally have a bag with me so smaller games above pocket size make the cut for lunchtime games or stuff like that
@ekconley64294 ай бұрын
@@RoomandBoardReviews for sure! I meant it more tongue in cheek but good to hear your perspectives! Not every game is for everyone, even very popular ones like Button Shy, and there is a lot more bang for your buck for solo play in Button Shy games compared to multi-player. The two we have that we like to play multiplayer are Tussie Mussie (equally enjoy solo and multi) and Tides (I only enjoy it multi-player) and both my wife and I enjoy as couples games, Tussie Mussie is good at 3 or 4 as well. I don't go for every one of their games for sure, this week's didn't draw me in for instance.
