Very nice walk starting from Holborn Station which I don't know well. Charing Cross and the debauchery of moving images at Tottemham Court, with a kind of inner tower teeming with images of all kinds. very spectacular!!. Very lively and commercial streets. And Marble Arch which always surprises me, such a beautiful vestige of the past. To see while strolling. Thank you WW, another face of London 😀😀😀😀😀

Awashed with evening winter sun glow, it was a peaceful walk. The whole atmosphere looked ethereal . Architecture, electronic displays contributing to enhance the beauty of this spectacular city. Crowded streets showed the freedom of human spirit, soaking the pleasures of life. Thank you Mr. Walker for sharing the magical evening stroll. 😊☕🍀

Thanks for another great walk down Oxford Street, the shops are much bigger than when I worked there over 50 years ago, now only a couple of stores with names I recognise! I notice the temperature was 6c. and as I watch (in shorts & T-shirt) it's 36c. outside but of course it's Summer here in South Australia, Happy New Year and walking! Cheers, Peter.

I was down there for NYE. What a mess! They closed Covent Garden station at about 9pm and had to walk up to Holborn to catch a train. Inconvienient, but what can you do? Was still nice to see London back up and running, though.

every aspect of the economy gone. no factories and not really any retail. just property speculation with unbacked currency. this is unsustainable.

It's upsetting to see classical architecture pieces being torn down one by one and be replaced by soulless glass and steel structures with narcissistic sizes/proportions. It creates a generic, indifferent, hyper-commercial atmosphere you can find pretty much anywhere in the world these days. Whereas London should preserve its magical identity. Hopefully one day the economy will recover and those ugly modern buildings will be torn down to be replaced with new classical architecture. Fingers crossed.
