This video needs more views, it’s interesting to hear about the situation from somebody working in an affected area.

@@ashtonmiller-z1n Has nothing to do with OS. This was a bug in security software from crowdstrike, and crowdstrike's main customers are big business, almost no home users were affected directly.

@@ashtonmiller-z1n CrowdStrike is a automated update tool for windows and linux operating systems used by Enterprise Users. So while you are correct, Home users of Windows and linux were unaffected

Anyone talking about this in relation to Apple doesn't understand the problem, the business, or what caused it. Which is expected. I haven't seen an Apple server in a data center in over a decade. After the rush to get iPhones to work on corporate networks we figured out how to manage their security through a Linux controller and tossed the Apple servers since we can just spin up a VM instead of needing a dedicated box. Apple's server market share crashed so hard after we figured out how to use Linux for Apple products they haven't built server hardware since 2010. 14 years since Apple closed their server division. They have essentially zero market share. You can't break what doesn't exist. And Apple servers don't exist. Apple doesn't even use Apple servers.
