Halfway between Saskatoon and Leicester there is a deep ocean trench. It lies just off the coast of St Pierre and Miquelon, and is the home to lost U boats, fish with six eyes and a lost Elder God from a time before feeble human history was first written on paper made from horsehair and mud. That halfway point is a fitting origin for a transatlantic collaboration between Leicester’s aristocrats of punk, 9 o’clock Nasty, and Preyswitch, the wild wizard of the Canadian wasteland that communicates with burning ash and deep frequency bass that makes children cry and the corrupt climb onto their hooves and beg the heavens for mercy.
