I rewatch over and over, waiting for the moment Aziraphale's hands grasp Crowley's back, momentarily clutching him closer. It's never enough. Then, after... Aziraphale brings his fingers lightly to his mouth, gasping, then he presses them hard, trying to recreate the feeling of Crowley's kiss, bruising his lips. Oh, my heart. It hurts. 💔

@@clarestubbs9303 There's a video where someone has slowed down the kiss, so you can see every agonizing moment. The instant you see Aziraphale's left hand clutch Crowley's back, Crowley adjusts his position, deepening the kiss, nose nuzzling Aziraphale's cheek, because he feels him responding. My stomach clenched and the only word that popped into my head was "possessive". Like, "You know you are mine. I am yours." This has to be the most heartbreaking kiss on film.

Nicely done. Why after 1000 times do I try to convince Aziraphale to say “I love you” instead of “I forgive you. “ he’s just got the wrong verb 😢

Michael Sheen is so great in this; if you watch his lips moving and listen close, you can hear him start to say "I love-" before he cuts himself off to say instead "I forgive you".

This is THE best video I've seen for Crowley/these two. Aziraphale is going to have a LOT to ask forgiveness for in S3. Crowley keeps trying to pull closer, sometimes despite himself, and Aziraphale is always one step forward, freak out about authority, two steps back. Crowley's assumed nature is the stumbling block he just can't/won't get over. And there's nothing Crowley can do about that, though Aziraphale doesn't see it that way. There is always that arms' length between them. Aziraphale treats Crowley like a (genuinely) beloved canine companion - going on long hikes together, playing endless games of fetch, training with abundant 'good dog', et cetera, and yet the pup still gets crated at night because Aziraphale can't trust that he won't tear up the house while unsupervised. Which really puts a dent in the dog's door-guarding instincts. That cognitive dissonance is a brick wall that Crowley can't summon the energy to try to go through, over, or around anymore. A broken spirit is difficult to repair.

I hv read the comments earlier that the dance Gavotte end with kissing the partner.. What if aziraphale going to kiss crowley when they did dance together 😢.. Am so broken..

I'll just say - everyone's opinion is valid on this. And I see how some might find the lyrics over the center distracting, to a point. But I think the positioning of the lyrics is perfect, because they are a 'character' in this edit as well. The song is not just pretty background music, the lyrics are *integral* to the story being told, and their positioning helps illustrate that. It may not be right for every edit, but it's necessary for this one, in my opinion. ❤
