The way she moves is special. Her dance abilities are top top quality, I swear. I also love that this is a song for this competition show but it could totally pass as a regular comeback. It really is so her but really digestible for a wider national audience. And she added a lil bit of Korean in there too. She's really just amazing.

I so appreciated your reaction here. Right after the show there were a bunch of reactions but they were all be fans of Eurovision checking out the American equivalent and they mostly knew nothing about K-pop. Her lyric "Living rent free in my head here's your lease though." I so clever. I love everything about her performance but it's really nice to have clever lyrics too. No clue whether there will be a different song for the semi finals.

I'm a K-Pop stan AND a Eurovision stan, so when I found out that American Song Contest was happening, I was soooo excited, and to see K-Pop represented feels so surreal. Check out the other acts in your own time, but no one's performance has come close to AleXa's level yet, in my opinion -- Grant Knoche from Texas came close performance-wise. There are lots of genres represented, and it's really cool to see a celebration of how diverse American music is.

I love’d this song the second I heard it on that tv show, but I just recently watched the dance practice and had to laugh because she makes all of her backup dancers look like giants. She is soooo tiny! But I have to check her other music out stat!

Hi, i am back. Good reaction Ben, ty. It's been forever. But the min I saw u did a reaction to Alexa u got me!!! I never heard of her until this show. There's a fine line between having an identifiable style and repeating oneself. My only critique of Wonderland is that it is dangerously similar to Kitty Run, at least to my ear. But only dyed in the wool Troopers would know that 🤖

Probably won't win. Problem is the way the voting is done. Some way they track where you vote from and only 2 votes are available for each state. So if the majority of voters were from California but she was the top act voted by any other states she would only get 2 votes. Now when you look at the way voting has gone so far there is a slant toward country folksy crap, probably because the people that watch TV in the US tend to be older and the younger audience is less likely to watch the show let alone vote for anyone.
