Your walk throughs are by far the best. We are so looking forward to cruising on this old beauty in October. The promenade deck is one of the features we find most appealing. Its just beautiful.

@suerobinson844 I'll be on that cruise, and i'm not worried about sharing that on youtube. I know Don just shared a video about it, but it's not always applicable. Who is the OP? Is their youtube handle their real name? Do you know where they live? Even just the city, let alone their exact address? It makes no difference that they shared they'll be on a cruise in September in a comment on youtube.

Great tour and thank you for including the deck and actual names of the venues, most tours do not include this information.

Like usual, a great run through. Easy to follow and no BS. Well done again Adrian. We are looking forward to the Crown in March 2026 for our around Australia cruise. It does look similar to the regal and majestic but just a little dated. Still is a fine ship.

Hi Adrian, where is the elite and platinum lounge on Crown? I have just reached this status and would love to try the lounge.
@TheCruiseandTravelGuy10 күн бұрын
Hi Lisa - from memory, they held the event in Skywalkers for a couple of hours each night. I did have a slip in my cabin that had the details, but I've misplaced it... it's usually Skywalkers, or sometimes the Vista Lounge (Club Fusion on Crown).

Great video as always! A couple of questions (1) without handwashing stations, how did they get people to wash their hands before going into the buffet (or they just didn't?); (2) I'm so intrigued by the wraparound promenade especially since it goes all the way to the front of the ship - do they let people into the front part of the promenade deck during sailaways?
@kylies712413 күн бұрын
In response to question 1, they didn’t (at least not on the cruise I just got off). Some passengers walked through without sanitising, and I saw 1 adult male put his hands in a bowl of nacho chips. Unsurprisingly gastro was on board.
@TheCruiseandTravelGuy10 күн бұрын
Thanks! There were hand sanitiser dispensers, and crew were (not always) there to instruct people to use it before entering. This wasn't heavily enforced the few times I walked through, but I also wasn't there all that often. I hope that handwashing stations are installed during her upcoming dry dock later this year. The forward section of the promenade deck is accessible when the weather is good - but I have to admit I haven't been down there during sail away. There's a staircase from Deck 7 up to Deck 8 forward, which is where the wraparound at the front occurs. There's a gate at the bottom of the staircase, so if it's closed it can't be accessed. I have seen it closed during bad or windy weather.

How do you carry Your medallion do use a watch band
@TheCruiseandTravelGuy13 күн бұрын
I typically carry it in my pocket - it comes with a complimentary lanyard so you can hang it around your neck. Or you can buy accessories onboard like a watch-style band, a bracelet, necklace etc. Amazon has a few things too - look for “Apple Tag” accessories as these are basically the same size.

Just wondering. Did I see wheelchair accessible spaces towards the front of princess theatre? Usually they are all at the back of the theatre?
@TheCruiseandTravelGuy10 күн бұрын
Hi Robert - yes, there was a section of seating on the lower level that was accessible. There were no stairs between the casino and the theatre entrance on Deck 6.
@VonChoker10 күн бұрын
I noticed in your shots of the main theater that there were disabled reserve seats on the bottom level. Have you any idea how these are accessed for people with disabilities as I cruised on Pacific Encounter (sister ship to Crown) and only seemed to be able to use the seats up top at the back of the theater. It was a very long distance for my ailing Mum to be able to see. It would be nice to get seating closer to the stage for the disabled
@TheCruiseandTravelGuy10 күн бұрын
Hi there. The seating on the lower level was accessible - there were no stairs between the casino and the theatre entrance on Deck 6, so people reliant on wheelchairs or with limited mobility should be able to access those lower-level seats without issue.

Just got off this ship on Sunday, it was OK, nothing special, so many things that this ship could learn from other ships that are doing it right. We had a suite on the 9th floor (Dolphin 405) that was well set out with a super comfy bed, but still has the old shower curtains. The entertainment was less than impressive, when your entertainment director is the entertainment …. Let’s just put it this way there were plenty of spare seats! When I’m 8 days at sea I need good entertainment (4 to Fiji and 4 back) The food was very …. Cheap, that left me feeling not satisfied as I know I could have been. The staff were super friendly but bar staff started to fail in the last week, out stateroom was looked after by Raymond was perfect and we were always treated with a smile, we tipped him $200 Australian. I’m not convened at this stage that I would go on this ship,again, or at least until a reform and a boost in entertainment and quality of food. I forgot to mention our nightly wait and during staff, Adrain who was fantastic, we were a group of 10 aged 70 - 14 and here was always very excepting and quite a comedian. My wife and daughter and daughter in law used the spa and they were all very happy with the service.

I can't believe that there's no hand wash station at the buffet. Definitely not going to eat in the pig's trough, when we cruise on her in October - November.
@TheCruiseandTravelGuy10 күн бұрын
Yeah that was a bit underwhelming... I didn't care for that. I would imagine this will be addressed when she goes into dry dock later this year.

2026 and 2027... Since I can't get an Adelaide to Adelaide cruise any more we are going 2026 Sydney to Adelaide... Flying to Sydney so I can buy so much at the ports and onboard without paying for it coming home 🤣 2027 Going from Adelaide to Sydney is going to make sure I can get 3 bags home without extra costs... Unless another cruise comes up before then 🥺
