Do you think its possible too beef up this amp, turning it into a more powerful model?

Thanks for this. Can't believe they just do this and don't care to put a properly rated capacitor in. This occurred in the former series too.

Its called "Planned Obsolescence" my friend. How many amps you think goes into the dumpster after not powering on? Easier and cheaper to replace it with a Brand New Spanking Series 3,4,5... Mark 4,5,6 with the updated 258-bit DAC's rather than repairing older technology gear. It Sucks but this is the Un-renewable generation.

Have the XTI 1002 and does not power on. Did the capacitor replacement. No change. Tested removed capacitor and it was good. Tested resistors and the show resistance. Tested all the transistors, 1 tests bad . The one right next to the 2 relays. Do not know if that could be the problem. Any advice? How do I know what transistor to use in the replacement. Looking for the schematics and parts is tough to locate. Thanks for the videos.

Your panning of the components went by too damn fast! Slow down the video when doing this for proper repair work!!

The video is a time-lapse, if its too fast for you, look at the lower right corner of the video... Hit the Settings (the gear) > Playback Speed ( 0.25)
