By the way, I found your video by chance! Super!!! another important use of "by" followed by a number or percentage is used to indicate a change of some kind. Eg The Labour Party lost the vote by 20 to 4. France won the match by 5 to 2. Inflation has gone up by 10%.

Hi , thank you. That's very clear lesson. May I have a question. I'm so confusing now. What is kind of "by" below. Also, broadband subscriptions rose steadily "by" 30 percentage points every five years to 2010, but "by" a modest 4 percentage points after then.
