A few old pictures from Crowthorne and Sandhurst. If you have any interesting ones I would love to include them.

How I came across this is beyond me but glad I did, I grew up in crowthorne 1981 - 1996 and loved it, when I'm back in the UK now I go back to visit family and still love the place, childhood for me consisted of walking the dog round heathlake and playing football in bigshotte park, if I ever move back to the UK it will definitely be to crowthorne, great video 👍

Great to see where I spent my teenage years. I should say that the Old Rectory was'nt demolished in 1956, it was still there in 1958 when we moved into the newly built St. Michales Road. The Rectory was there for quite a few years as my friends family rented part of it. However the company that owned the whole site demolished the serpentine wall around the fruit and veg garden to prevent it becoming listed and effect their long term development plans for the rectory and grounds. The photo taken from Sandhust Halt brings back memories, the shop was a newsagent and just past it where the car is parked was Thompsons garage. The building on the right hand side of the road just out of sight was Geoge Alum the butchers.
