If I recall correctly, a living relative of Amy arrived by helicopter and visited the school I attended, I was 9years old at the time. There was also another air display in 1988, that time there was a display involving spitfiers, hurricanes and a Lancaster bomber.great stuff.

This is brilliant, I was talking to my 21 year daughter about a shop online and she noticed that the address was at Croydon Airport, she never knew it existed. So pleased to see the footage, having lived in Mitcham at the time and loving aircraft my dad took me to this show. The quality gives it an almost 30's feel and does not detract from enjoying it one bit. Don't recall seeing the sheep though that was filmed in the early part of the film!

Thanks, Original film was taken on a very cheap S8mm cine camera. I then projected onto a screen and videoed it years later. I used KZbin's cropping & stabilising options which gave the uploaded video some strange effects.

Thank you, only 40 years ago now, wow! If I can find the film reel I might have a go at a better transfer. Best ones are frame by frame but havent got that equipment.

I enjoyed the film, I was there that day. Imagine the health and safety police allowing this sort of event these days ! Great memories, seems such a long time ago !
