THANK YOU! I just got trained to CRRT and I have not had to change/prime a new set up yet! This is very helpful!

Thank you so much for this. I am new in this ICU where we have to do the crrt and we had a case yesterday, and I was supposed to observe how to do it but I got busy with the other patient so I missed how it was initially set up. This is the accurate demo that I needed. Hugs

Hey which hospital do you work in?

Very clear demonstration. Thanks a lot. A simultaneous voice instruction would be much better. Do you have any video on how to choose fluids for PBP, replacement & dialysate? Please share it.

Thank you for the clear demonstration on how to load and start CRRT machine. I have only one question; You did not show the connection of the tubing to the warmer - something that we always do at work. I wanted to know is it winding the tubing from back to front of from front to back? Some people say it makes a difference others say it doesn't. What do you think? Thanks again.

Fria Roxy there is a green colour on the warmer tubing, that colour should be on the front. I hope that will help

So the CRRT is always without Heparin?
@educ4picu4 жыл бұрын
stryder hiryu I work with pediatrics and it is common to not use Heparin in this population. Heparin use is usually avoided because it is hard to reverse, increases risk for HIT, and is cleared by the kidneys (that are currently not working well). If anticoagulation is needed, Citrate is usually used in the circuit and patient receives continuous Calcium drip to decrease systemic effect of Citrate. Citrate is broken down by the Liver; make sure the liver is healthy enough to process Citrate.
