GoodRam real name company is WilkElektronik (Wolf Electronic) 😀 They produce memory and SSD but chips are from China and Taiwan (e.g. from Toshiba/Kioxia) It's only one that factory in Europe but this is not full factory cos this chip import 😁 I invite You to Sub my channel and watch other videos with subtitles 😁👍

Racja, normalny użytkownik sam z siebie nie przekroczy takiej ilości TBW. Problem w tym, że np taki Chrome, gdy jest odpalony, co kilka sekund zapisuje na dysku niewielką ilość danych, nawet jak się go nie używa... No i się uzbieraja tego przez cały dzień gigabajty...

Na to już nie mamy wpływu. Z drugiej strony nawet te limity są zapewne dosyć ostrożnie postawione i w praktyce nawet 2x więcej kości powinny wytrzymać 😁

I have one of each revision, both 500GB. Seems to run a bit warm for my liking - idling around 40-45C depending on ambient temp. But ok, whatever. I am more concerned about premature failures like reports on Samsung 870 EVO. Reviews on Amazon complaining of 870 EVO death after 2 years, big thread on Techpowerup forum. Also thread on Techpowerup for MX500 saying there are some revisions using QLC for 1TB and above, but not in 500GB or below which always use TLC. But I don't know how true it is, maybe only in some markets? Other observations: * Using MX500 in 2.5" USB enclosure with JMicron chipset is slower than 850 EVO in same enclosure according to ASSSD. * Maybe sometimes I experience some "micro pause" in Windows (M3CR023 firmware OS drive) not really sure. Maybe it is my other hard drives causing it which has APM doing things which I cannot control. Despite this, I cannot find another similarly priced drive with DRAM and TLC except for Evo 870, but I'm not willing to risk 870. There is Seagate Ironwolf NAS SSD but expensive. Also WD Red SSD but +50% price.

Thanks for the interesting opinion. Your own experiences are the most valuable. I worried about the 870EVO because I have 1 1TB and MX500 500GB, 1TB and 2TB. I heard about those QLCs... Currently, you have to check each model and revision before buying to see if the manufacturer has changed anything. How are you from friend? I am asking to know in which language to prepare subtitles with translations 🙂👍

@@CZARNYEU Australia - English here. I need to get another SSD for a family member, not sure what to get. Leaning towards WD Red, even though it's not as fast, but does have TLC, DRAM, 600TBW @ 1TB. Seagate Ironwolf is 1400TBW @ 1TB but very expensive. Maybe worth the money? Something reliable that lasts for 10 years, nice to have. But you never know - one bad cap can kill it.

Seagate is the best, but probably too expensive... The best of the consumer ones are Cricial MX500 or Samsung 870 EVO. Unless you have NVMe..

@@CZARNYEU There is also Sandisk Ultra , but only old model ending in "G25" has TLC & DRAM (according to Techpowerup review). A few of them left on Amazon. New model Sandisk Ultra ending in "G26" - nobody knows - might be DRAMless & QLC?
