Hey man, when you talk about Crit Dmg being capped at 200%, does that mean that for a Burning Instinct sorc who stacks crit dmg, it would be less effective when in the PvP zone? Also are there any viable minion builds (necro or druid) that work in PvP? Cheers!

I looked into this a bit, since i am not a sorc main had to double check. Paragon node states that every crit damage you have your burning damage increases, so it increases your dot damage pretty much. So i believe this is not capped, since its a direct multiplier to the dot damage. But lets say you had an ability and it was a direct damage with crit, it would have a soft cap around 200% where you would not be able to scale it higher. For pub matches i believe minion necro still does decent but i would not place them above C tier unfortunately

Thanks, quite enlightening. Got oneshotted in PvP doing whispers, got annoyed at first but quickly realized i don't know anything about PvP. I doubt I'm going to do a PvP char this season, don't really like the idea of barbs running around doing insane dmg just cause blizz overbuffed them, but I'll definitely keep your channel in mind for future seasons.

If you immobilize a player with fire skills, does this immobilize count for the 20%x hard cc damage bonus from control glyph? The glyph doesn't actually include immobilize but I was wondering if it worked anyways.

It does not. I remember testing this long time ago with blight core skill on Necro. It would ideally proc the first part of control glyph %10 since immobilized is considered as a soft CC. However unless anything changed it doesnt work with control

You also do not heavily invest into something like this since Meta is back in the game and stun cc windows are very small. Most opponents will have high unstoppable uptimes

Don't worry if you can't get to this question: Is there a hard or soft cap on damage reduction? I see some people say 45% total, 45% in every category, and some people say there is no cap at all

Your welcome! Two hander with ultimate shadow is the most damage you can ever do as a shadow wave necro hence why sometimes you will see me running it time to time. Its more risk more reward playstyle so I do not suggest it unless you are struggling to kill some barbs and rogues. So it`s definitely very matchup specific. I think for the most part and enjoying the fields Doombringer is still BIS. I think that build guide is still the best place to start. Gushing wounds is in a different bucket. So it should not be impacted by your crit cap. Since I believe that is buffing your bleed damage over time right? I am not a barb main but based on what i know that crit cap is not directed towards that type of skill. Its directed towards any direct damage that crits. For example you are running xfals, its damage would be impacted by the crit cap

Normal 2hander with ultimate shadow. Its actually something i like to keep in my back pocket against certain matchups since season 1. Also something about necro wielding 2h looks so cool to me 😂

Even with crossplay, the PvP areas are always empty. When d4 was launched, there were people there, they wanted to know what it was like and see how dedicated some of them were. But after s1, it's getting more and more empty.

There is some truth to this but not fully. PvP areas population fluctuates a lot, I actually had the most fun in pvp this season as a necromancer, Season 1 we had the stun bug and barber abuse which were really impacting the fields negatively. This season was amazing until the AoZ and Tiers of Blood release. It totally ruined the damage/mitigation balance. Up until that PvP zone was very active, endless action for hours in good lobbies, population is somewhat coming back now the fact that most players finished their AoZ grind but its not as fun. However you are right, PvP needs more, needs freshers from the Blizzard, if it is left untouched, and accessibility is not there, it is destined to die.

@@LordxSaura I agree with you. Another question is also regarding the location of the servers. I'm from South America. I have the impression that this also gets in the way. There are MANY players around here playing PvE... but in PvP I really don't find anyone else these days. Regarding content, there are countless things that Blizzard can do to improve it. Be it scores, numbers of kills/deaths on your profile, better rewards, better items (or chances of getting more powerful/unique items) in the shop, materials to summon bosses in the shop... queue for 1x1, 2x2 arenas... One simple option to duel with any player on any map... And if I want, I can list endless things here to attract more people to PvP... This will all help the community to understand that PvP can also be a type very interesting content to be explored.

There were some rumors about that but I havent heard consistency around it to be fully true. Sorcs and some druids do use barrier a lot, however barrier has also been significantly nerfed, its not as strong as its used to

Yes, unfortunately ToB ruined pvp this season. It wasnt too bad a week or two ago but some people leveled their glyph so high now. I made a video and reported this feedback via every channel i can. Hopefully glyphs like this gets disabled in pvp going forward

You have to enable cross play - without that PvP zones are completely empty

It is not dead, you can find layers that has action for hours however population does fluctuates a lot and it is a very small population of the game. Hopefully it becomes a more popular part of the game, because it has so much potential to be great.
