As a new zealand dive instructor/divemaster working on the poor knights islands and diving on the unprotected coast there is no question in my mind that we need change and soon. in 1 year i have seen kelp beds go from full healthy forests to bare rock hundreds of meters in all direction. thanks for the video i hope we can make a difference.

@uramag7 That's looking at it the wrong way. Commercial fishing is fine in MODERATION. There's no way to stop it as a whole. What needs to be done is only buy fish to eat that are not in danger or are being over-fished. This would create less demand and so less supply would be made, and the fish would be able to prosper again. Just don't buy fish that are being over-fished.
