Sid Wara ***** Gendo is technically wrong. Depending on how you choose to romanize it, it's Gendō (Hepburn), Gendô (Kunrei-shiki) or Gendou (Wapuro). Because it's a name, he'd be allowed to have it on his passport as Gendoh or Gendoo, if that was what he was used to, but Gendo would be a different name with a different pronunciation. Of course, no matter how you look at it, Gandou is completely wrong.

Noir Genesis Evangelion: Tokyo-3, a crime ridden haven that has been rebuilt three times over. It is under constant attack from an organized crime group or wild terrorists known as The ANGELS. Enter Hard Boiled, alcoholic grizzled 30 year old detective, Shinji Ikari, who has seen his fair share of tragedy, loss, and the seedy side of Tokyo-3's districts. Together with his partner, the loud, chain smoking perfectionist femme fatale, Asuka Langley, and with help from their assistant, the quiet but dutiful secretary Rei Ayanami they patrol the streets with their Evangelion super mobiles looking for clues and whereabouts for the next Angel Attack, and the identities of the perpetrators. The Evangelion super mobiles were built by Shinji's old man, Nerv Scientist, Gendo Ikari. The 10 year project started after's Gendo's wife, Yui died in an ANGEL terrorist attack. The Evangelions are not just built with mechanical parts, but organic material. The Evangelions feed on a mysterious orange liquid known as LCL. Shinji Ikari answers to his chief superior, 45 year old brash veteran alocoholic Misato Katsuragi. Misato gives the Evangelion patrollers a mission briefing, before sending them out for any line of work that can range from undercover infiltration, spying, or raiding a building. When their vehicles are damaged, Shinji, Rei, and Asuka bring their vehicles into the NERV backed chop shop of Ritsuko Akagi, middle aged mechanical genius, old fling of Gendo and bitter colleague of Misato. Shinji Ikari, a lonely man, is still dealing with the grief of his mother who passed away 10 years ago, when driving alone on the rainy streets in his Eva-01, he plays a familiar song in order to comfort himself. The world lays a heavy burden on Shinji's shoulders. Shinji lives in the shadow of his acclaimed scientist father, and wants to prove something of himself in order to be accepted by society at large, and earn the love of his cold distant father. The super weapons Shinji and his partners use are capable of massive collateral damage and the line of duty takes a toll on his sanity. He visits a local bar run by Kaworu Nagisa, the only man who understands him in this cruel world. PLOT TWIST: Kaworu is the secret leader of the ANGELS, and has been using the information spilt by Shinji during bar sessions to subvert NERV's counter-terrorism. But Shinji figures it out and chases Kaworu onto a roof top. Shinji has Kaworu's head in the cross hairs of his high impact Desert Eagle as Kaworu holds up an explosive detonator. Kaworu reveals the intent of the ANGEL organization. That they were of a race of mutants that were experimented on by NERV. That Nerv used their flesh to cra.ft their Evangelions and plan on using further tech derived from their flesh to create instruments for a totalitarian regime. That these attacks are not just retribution of the first angel, ADAM but also a calculated attempt to expose their experiments and their plans, as this next attack will target a hidden automated Evangelion unit factory backed by the corporation SEELE. Kaworu further reveals that Shinji's own father, Gendo, plans to mutate every person in the world into LCL liquid, bringing everyone together into a hive mind. The Human Instrumentality project. Shinji must make a split decision, if he lets Kaworu live, Tokyo will be in ruins once again, he will let down the entire world and all his friends and family and many will perish. If he kills Kaworu, then Tokyo will be saved, but insidiousness of NERV will prevail and their plans for global domination will continue, the world here too would die and be reborn, and Shinji will lose the one true friend who understood him.
