A lot of people hated this movie but you can't deny Emma Thompson's performance was perfect for her character. She nailed being a ruthless, scary, powerful businesswoman who is just terrifying every time she's on screen. It's like you never know when she'll just unleash her dalmatians that will instantly maul you to death or even just a long stare from her could break your anxiety meter in an instant. I also think Emma Watson did spectacularly and it was the script and writing that held her down. But despite its flaws and not being perfect, this for me was still a very good movie.

she doesn’t skin dogs in the new movie! It’s kind of like Maleficent…like it’s more of a retelling than a prequel. A lot of people criticized it for not making cruella evil enough, but I imagine keeping her as a puppy killer would’ve been bad for likability lol
