I managed to unlock the Tommy (Mini Cooper) on France, but it took so many tries. You have to use the Speed Demon at max power level, and basically drive perfectly. The trees are extra annoying since they slow you down more here than in the arcade version (instead of spinning out you just lose speed knocking them over).
