Hey Paul, my wife and I just watched your four professional grade TSW videos and they're what we were seeking: inspiring views and insightful tips... We took numerous notes and, from them, we feel better prepared such as: the overall view, distances, sightseeing/attractions, overnight stays at specific locks, marinas, traffic vs. wilderness spots, and markers/dept awareness etc. We both looked at each other wanting to do that 2025 boat travel even more now! As we also desire to ride that wave by boat on the Georgian Bay, Killarney and area, we'll begin looking at your other numerous Georgian Bay videos shortly. Thank you :))

Wonderful - I'm so glad you both enjoyed it!! But don't take my word for it, as you're going to be making your own memories, doing the voyage for the first time. I'm sure you'll be as inspired as I was and I'm really looking forward to seeing the great videos you'll be sharing from your perspective. As I type, I'm actually taking a quick break from working on my next video - the look back at our 300 Sundancer. Problem is that I have way too much in it and had to cut it DOWN to 25 minutes run time 😳 Not complaining, but I seriously have 40, 50 (???) hours or more into this one and I'm still not finished 😂 Gonna grab a cold one and get back to working on it, so wish me luck 🤞

Yes indeed Paul, the vacation will be what we make of it but we’re sure glad you provided us with a nice overview. It will be great to explore and make videos along the way, and back, woo-hoo! - No doubt your 300 dancer brings you back good memories and it’s so tempting to put together the whole story along with details. When I “chop off” some content from a video in the making, it feels wrong and incomplete but hey, or I do a part 2. I like giving it a rest for a day or two (that’s just me) and when I get back to it, sometimes I tell myself: “What was I thinking!” Or I find better ideas. I’m still learning. Whatever comes out of it at the end will reflect the Paul that we all love to see and, that said, I hear you: it can get time consuming, 50-ish hours wow, but as long as it’s fun and you’re in the zone. I’m addicted to your videos and I start going into painful withdrawal after 2 weeks without, lol. And man you have a nice editing setup! I do 100% of mine on my i-phone, lol. You might have noticed, I use some of your approaches to making videos… makes for a better viewer experience. I went to the boat recently and will post that clip once I receive back the repaired canvas stitches and zippers, which are back-ordered. In the mean time I may post a video I did in the summer about if it’s worth having a dinghy! - You got it, GOOD LUCK and can’t wait to see your 300 dancer video :)) I’ll keep in mind all the hard and long hours of work that you put into it. Cheers to that!!!

What a great series! I cannot believe this did not sell. I would have purchased one for sure had I known about it. I still would if they are available. I watched a series like this on the Erie Canal that I bought many years ago. I still watch it at least 4 or 5 times each winter. I plan to watch this series a few more times on my big screen to really enjoy it. Well done Paul!

Planning on doing this trip in the opposite direction as you did. Will leave our home port of Richards Landing, piloting a 30' Sea Ray Sundancer. You did a terrific job filming and narrating, thank you.

@@BoatingWithBoogaboo Of course. I've been a subscriber for a couple of years now and have watched the transition from the 330 to the 380 and will be looking for something similar to do my loop. Just retired from 25 years as a private yacht captain.

I'd like to say that we've been watching the days growing longer, but all we're seeing is whiteout conditions in our part of the world. Oh well, that s**w is gonna help rejuvenate our waterways for another glorious season of boating in '23 🤗

This has been a very enjoyable watch. I've felt for a long time that the T-S and 1000 Islands region is severely underrepresented and passed over by most. To me, it seems like the summer analogue to a winter in the Exumas. One request (and a potential followup offer)... Would you mind uploading them in one video without the intro and outros between episodes so that we may experience it in the format you originally intended? If you can't, with your permission, I'd be happy to stitch it together for you and push it to my channel, all credit going to you with full intro and outros intact on either end, and not monitized, of course.

TS not represented? I've been posting videos of our time on the lovely Trent Severn Waterway for well over ten years now, so doing my part at least ;-) As for re-editing and uploading this video, I'd appreciate it if you didn't do that. Beyond the initial effort to produce the original video, it was a bit of a struggle with Y/T to make it publicly available, so let's just leave things as is. That said, I do have a few copies of the DVD/Blu-ray combo packs that I will be making available for purchase in the future, as soon as I confirm my shipping costs. I will post something here on the channel once that becomes available, so keep an eye out for it.

@@BoatingWithBoogaboo Yours is the only channel I've found that comprehensively covers it. Then again, you lucked out being so close to it. I've seen some other videos of it, but they're mostly from loopers that give the area a flyby and gloss over a lot (OK, a TON) of what you show. I shall keep my hands in my pockets regarding the video! No worries!
@BoatingWithBoogaboo2 жыл бұрын
I hear ya! Believe it or not, many evenings during the off season are topped off with me scouring KZbin for new boating videos - especially ones with 'local' content. Sadly, most are, as you mentioned, mere gloss overs if filmed in our neck of the woods, or focusing on the - pardon my bad language - sailing 😩 That said, we have stumbled across a few over the years that look like they held promise, but seemed to have vanished in the interim. My guess is that the guys putting out those particular videos discovered that it takes a considerable commitment to produce regular content and they simply gave up. Sad, but I can't fault them. Hopefully new creators will pick up the torch and run with it - for all our sake 😉
