Good morning, Doug! Nassau also made sure their docks could handle even the largest cruise ships! I wouldn't want to be at Nassau when 7 cruise ships docked! 😂My experience is 3-4 is plenty of ships at Nassau!

Thanks Doug! I can definitely see how Nassau’s numbers increase substantially year after year. 60% of my cruises have had a stop in Nassau. I got off the ship each time and enjoyed my day. However the majority of those stops included excursions away from the port. I truly hope that Carnival and Charleston, SC will reconsider a cruise port contract decision at a future date. Charleston is a great city and definitely worth a night or two stay prior to cruising. Norfolk, Virginia cannot compare, imho. But I will still sail from that location hopefully soon after the Sunshine’s Winter 2025 dry dock. Wow! The cruise industry is surely booming! 67 new cruise ships over the next 12-13 years and $57BILLION investment!!!! My goodness! Thanks for sharing my friend. With all that income, they need to work on crime prevention. Many visitors are disinclined to roam around the city in fear of being robbed or worse. If we were allowed to protect ourselves, crime would drop significantly, however, if the victim becomes the aggressor they usually risk being banned for life. Go figure.

Not surprised at the Nassau numbers since the cruise lines are so stingy with their fuel and interesting Caribbean islands are beyond their budget. Makes a strong case for "just stop cruising".
