Thank you for sharing. My wife and I are brainstorming purchasing an Rv and adding a motorcycle lift like the one you added to your beautiful Rv. I appreciate you sharing the approximate cost of installation. You mentioned that you couldn’t find anyone in Mississippi to do the lift install. Was it a case of feeling like the people in Texas had more experience installing this lift so you felt more confident and comfortable with taking to them vs someone closer to home? Did you look into other states as well. Appreciate it!

@@wynotwander7075 I will call. You and your wife are living the dream. I know this saying gets thrown around a lot but for a man like myself who loves traveling, adventure and riding motorcycle I truly see things this way. I have subscribed to your channel and hope you don’t mind if every now and then I pick your brain on certain things? As I’ve stated we eventually would like to purchase an Rv and have the opportunity to travel with our Harley-Davidson mounted behind. So any advice you are able to offer would be very much appreciated. I know nothing about Rv’s or Rv life but am willing to learn. Again thank you and God Bless!

We just installed a previous own Hydralift. It is nice to have the lift on the motorhome. Now we can flat tow our car and take our HD motorcycle. Keep the videos coming.

It certainly adds to the list of possibilities as we wander around the country!

We will be making trip to Katy soon for this lift. Wanted to know of install shop and this video addressed the question perfectly. By the way, we are located in Heber Springs, AR. Thanks again for the info!

Hey Chuck. What about Ms. Linda's bike? Look at the Sport Carrier II at the bottom of the page (www.ehamiltonenterprises.com/BlueOxSportCarriers.html)
@wynotwander70757 жыл бұрын
I did check those prior to purchase, they did not offer the capacity for two full size harleys and still be able to tow our extra vehicle behind. Thanks for sharing the information.

So the only alternative would be a enclosed trailer or a smaller vehicle like a smart car?
@wynotwander70757 жыл бұрын
or a larger pickup to tow and put a bike in the back, we have a trailer for both bikes but most states do not allow a double two. We did consider a toy hauler fifth wheel or a fiver with a second trailer which is allowed. We even considered a large trailer for two bikes and a small car but some places we frequent have limited access for something that size. There are options but this is the one we chose.

Understandably cost is a factor too. I can imagine you'd want to meet every situation with an appropriate solution. But being mobile has it's compromises, so we can't have it all.

Don't we wish we could have it all, even for a short time! But then there would be no challenges!

Do you have problems with mc bouncing back and forth mine bounced so hard it bent turnbuckle and eye rings and fell off
@wynotwander70754 жыл бұрын
Peter LaRosa no we do not. It’s rock solid and have been all over the country with it. I tie it down so sturdily it cannot bounce or move at all.

Just a note to everyone, We did add straps to the handlebars as well as the one across the frame. Someone commented on this but i cannot now find the comment. To whomever it was, thank you for sharing your experience! I am still learning and merely sharing what we are doing. Be safe and have a great day!

Do you have an update now that you have been traveling with the Cruiser Lift for a few months?
@wynotwander70756 жыл бұрын
I'll try to get a new video of loading it this week when we get ready to hit the road again! So far so good, a few thousand miles and no issues but it is a process to be sure it's tied down securely! I don't seem to do it quite the same each time but no problems once it's secured! We are currently in Western Nebraska, headed to Wyoming for a week then off to Mississipi and then Arkansas!

It’s definitely not for everyone. It’s a choice for someone with discretionary income. I’m just showing something that is available. I do mot sell them but would definitely do it again.

Subscribed! Thanks for the video Chuck! Have you found the ratchets scratching your bike or is there enough clearance? We also have a Cruiser lift. I am thinking of doing another video on the welding installation, since this is a critical part of mounting the 3 point hitch. You can see our's here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/enOTZperacqgeLM
@wynotwander70756 жыл бұрын
La Vie Flottante we have enough clearance.because I am paranoid I use five straps. The fifth one attaches in front of the tank to the arms of the lift. I have nightmares of the bike falling onto the hood of the toad (towed) vehicle. Better safe than sorry 😊

Before I got the lift we trailered the bike. It works well also but I am 65' so it is hard to park many places. One time a car cut in front of me then slammed on the brakes. I didn't know it buy the bike had came out of the wheel chock. There was minimal damage but I can only imagine if it came off a lift. You would be picking up parts then.
