@@Zenstylezhairsalon Sorry I'm just seeing this now, the first solo cruise was also my first ever cruise so I lounged and only booked one excursion. A little mistake as I didn't really get to experience all the cruise had to offer. However, just yesterday I got off my second solo cruise which was 9 days on the NCL Sky. It is a smaller ship, but I met so many awesome people and got to relax myself. We visited seven different ports and I had an excursion for almost every stop. I definitely had lonely moments especially when I was surrounded by all couples. But I got a drink, chatted up with people if the situation arose, and made some new friends! I'm half introvert/extrovert, but still made sure to stay out of my room and experience all the ship had to offer. I don't regret going solo one bit, although I will say having a friend with would make the experience more fun as you can share the joy with them. Have a great time if you do end up booking!

Have cruised on the breakaway. Thanks for the great video. I would like to know which cruise lines offer free saunas. NCL nickel and dimes us. I crossed the Atlantic on the Cunard and their sauna and steam rooms were complimentary. That was in 2015

I keep hearing they like to nickel and dime their customers a lot some people say the ship feel old and out dated and the pool are small and always over crowded any of this true also that their food is meh at best any of this true?

The way it works is, the more you pay, the better food, cruise ship and amenities you get. There are luxury ships that may be better for you. Norwegian has excellent packages that work for many. Take that in account.

Pretty much all of the "bars" on board also serve soda and water, so with a ton of them everywhere you are never far from finding something to quench a thirst. You can get the soda package too, which includes unlimited at a lower price than the alcohol packages.

Several lines are virtually or entirely kid-free, like Oceania and Viking. We were on a transatlantic cruise last month on the Norwegian Epic and there were no kids in sight. Look for a time of year when kids are more likely to be in school. There are ways to avoid the rug rats, believe me!
