When I was a teenager I was given the opportunity to help guide a group of younger kids on a road trip from Colorado to New Mexico for a grueling 5 mile hike and camping trip into the mountains. Then we had to hike 5 miles back! It was the most challenging thing I have ever done. It's probably why I'm still alive at 52.

Hello Lucy, I love your channel! I'm even making a checklist of important things to prepare for boarding. Could you make a video with tips on things to feel good about working so many hours on your feet? With tips on products like orthopedic insoles, massage gel and these stuffs?

In elementary school me and my friends collected pins. When you talk about your magnets it makes remember exactly how proud I was of my pin collection. Wow, you are brilliant.

Interesting video as usual. Your volume was fine for me on both the phone and desktop. The acoustics seem a bit "off" in that room. I am guessing that there may be a wall or two without lots of things on the walls perhaps causing some sound to bounce off the wall a bit. My guess is a quick no cost solution would be to hang a couple blankets or even towels parallel to you (just out of camera view of course) a bit above eye level.

Not sure you have covered this, but how many jobs are hired directly by there cruise line vs. how many are hired through an agency where you get trained and not sure which company you will end up working for? I am past starting a new job, but thinking of a grandchild… Thank you, I enjoy your videos :)

What are the career opportunities for future for a shoppie? What other job roles can we make transition to inside ship and on Land?
@CruisingAsCrew5 ай бұрын
Hey there. You can progress to assist retail Manager and then to a manager. You could also become a jewellery or watch specialist. Those are the progression opportunities within the shops but you always have to option to switch departments all together. Thanks for watching! X

Hey Lucy. I've been considering joong the cruise life but I'm transgender (MTF). Could you maybe do a video about LGBT crew members. Are people like me welcome on cruise ships? How would our accomodations be arranged in regards to gender? Which lines would be best for us to apply for, if any?
