A happy Yamaha CP88 and Keyscape owner here. I found this keyboard existed last night. Found one 4.5hrs away and extremely tempted. That is putting it lightly, i have that dangerous new toy feeling in my belly :) Thanks for a fantastic demonstration of what i was curious about!

It does sometimes sound synthesized, but it never sounds cheezy, it is so responsive and alive, its a wonderful sound in its own right

Love the Crumar electric pianos. That's why I went with a Crumar over the Hammond SKX. The Crumar extra voices are just as good as their B3. Hammond skimped too much on their Rhodes, clav and Wurly.

Love it's vibe and expressiveness, though it feels a empty once you get to forte notes, there are just high frequencies, all the low mid vanish Well, with all the barking stuff, the difference between rhodes and wurly gets unclear 1:39 the barking high ends are very bad, 3:20 also Does the editor allows to change that ? Anyway, for the price of the board and the Hammond it delivers, that's great !

I'll be honest as Nord/Yamaha fan and realy honest...hummmm......this is f@cking the best Rhodes I heard ! Great harmonics and you hear even striking of the tuning fork and when you hit the key strong, the sound color chance !!!!!(ananlog mechanic)

Nord offers 8 different Rhodes models, though (with tons of details): the four XL ones are considered amongst the best EPs on the market, along with KeyScapes (which is the golden standard for EPs) and Crumar and Viscount's own suitcase pianos. Don't get me wrong, Crumar did a great job with those modelled pianos, they just aren't the best ones around (especially on the higher frequencies imho).

@@gregnazar9011 :( sorry for you ...black day. I own a Crumar Mojo now too now (dobb.clav) and my wife is screaming for attention too

@@andy5178 I used the Mojo for a production (I omit the name of the singer). The sound fits well in the mix with a lill compres and cuttoff low. For live I always use the Nord, the XL I have to play it, I'm curious

@@andy5178while key scape has the most people who find it the best digital Rhodes, I’m not personally the biggest fan of which type of Rhodes they decided to sample. Nord I agree Is the best hardware electric pianos sample choice given the whole library. But some boards let you download 3rd party sample sets.

How would you compare this Mojo with the Hammond SK1-73 with its versatility and beautiful extra sounds ? I am really confused and don’t know which one to buy .
@tylerthompson18423 жыл бұрын
I would by the mojo way better eps plus you could customize them all with the editor on your phone or laptop.

I turn the bark level way down for the default e.piano, it's too jumpy at default level 64. I never played a real one that barked that suddenly.
@spencergellsworth4 жыл бұрын
It is super-barky, but I like it for recording. Sweet, Mellow Tone and Wurlish work a little better in a full band mix, though.

Hi! To connect the phone do you need the WiFi dongle? I read that it has an internal WiFi antenna but I also see a dongle sold separately. Another thing, did it came with a stand and/or a bag? Thanks! :)

Does this keyboard have CP80 sounds?
@prema98783 жыл бұрын
No. The crumar seven has one but is not so good, the viscount 70s legend is algo physical modeling and has a much better one. I don’t know of any other PM cp80 around
