Hello peanut gallery! I came up with a super cool way to turn some simple strip sets into mini crumb blocks! You can whip these up in no time and make a pile of them in multiple colors to use as block starters. I'm totally addicted to this!!! Thank you so much for watching. You are making this my most successful series that I've ever started. Do love! xoxo You can catch up on this series here: tinyurl.com/y9zcg63f

Darlene Michaud I love your method. I’ve got a crazy/crumb that I’ve added to as I complete other quilts. I keep the trimmed pieces of other blocks that have some width to use in crumb blocks. It’s so much fun to make crumb blocks. I live your crumb block videos!

This is the third time I have watched this series. I have made two crumb quilts. I make my blocks 6 inch square. Each quilt has 122 blocks. I sashed them. I love just sitting at my machine, getting a piece of fabric without thinking if it matches another piece and just sewing. I sew at our community center once a week. The ladies I quilt with save all their crumbs for me. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us. God bless.

I can't even finish watching the video before I have to go to the sewing machine and try it. This is my new favorite thing. I knew I'd kept all those little pieces for a good reason! Thank you for these tutorials.

Oh, Darlene! The lay out of blocks at the end was so fun! I'm really liking the no sashing look. Maybe free motion or stipple quilting. You are so fun to watch. Like visiting with a close friend. Thanks for sharing the love. ♥

I really love this crumb idea; each finished block looks SO COMPLICATED (like"how did you do that??"). But it's so easy, so simple to do, and SO MUCH FUN. Thanks Darlene I'm gonna try it.

I have never had so much fun putting together a quilt than by using your method - Michaud Crumb Method (aka I can sew this shit)!! Thank you Darlene. Don't let the big, bad recording/editing process destroy the value you provide to all of us.

Now I know how to use some of the closes I don't want to wear any more. I was use to give them to good will stores....but if I can use them for doing crumb quilts, why not? Grand kids will like to have that. Thank you! And it will be good to passe some time here and there relaxing.... wow!!! You have fun to teach us, LOL....G.R.

Darlene, I just LOVE ALL of your videos, and the crumb quilt series are outstanding. I am going to start on a crumb quilt as soon as I finish 2 more rag quilts (and I got the rag quilt inspiration from you also). I look forward to your daily videos...You're Awesome!!!

I liked the last "quilt" the best at the very end of the video. I never used to save my crumbs but I've started saving them after the first video in this series. I'm going to make a crumb quilt using those crumbs and all those scraps that I have sitting in a crate next to my sewing table. 👍

darlene- thanks for the great idea- crumbs are so addictive. i am making a few 6" blocks to take to" sew yeah"- quilt store- so they can see what a crumb is. the plan is to have volunteers use their color of the month fabric to incorporate into the crumb and then when we have amased enough blocks - have a sew in and make quilts for a local charity- sounds like a fun fun fun project. u r the greatest- thx-m

Absolutely amazing! The freedom of this type of quilt making is a breath of fresh air. However, I'm a hand quilter and I've no idea how I'd work my needle through all those seams. Do you think making a knot quilt with this type of piecing would work? I don't know....
