Yeah, I got one of those earlier this year and it's great! but it's a different category than "build" so I didn't include it. Definitely a solid gift option though! I have it listed on my website, just didn't feature it in this video.

Well it’s not really a build crate, more of a random shit that Micheal put together, that’s cool, hope this clarifies

The Thames & Kosmos Catapult Engineering kit looks like fun, but it also looks a lot like Lego Technic, with a way higher per-piece price. (That said, the mentioned Lego sets are quite high per piece too. Though, I think they more expect schools to buy them than individuals, so... eh.)

I wonder if there is an interest in one for adults. 🤔 It'd be like a physics lesson in a box and include the how (read math) something does something instead of just the why. I guess it'd be hard to set that base point of where everyone is as well as trying to balance between too hokey and too difficult.

I can testify with Thanes and kosmos that it's a lot like the third build box. You're given an instruction booklet that teaches you how to build several projects and teaches you along the way with supplementary reading, but there's enough parts that you can usually customize the projects or build your own device. I've gotten probably close to ten of these kits using that specific building system, and I've been able to make an unbelievable amount of stuff just by having access to a lot of parts. It's very mechanical and I mostly use it now as integrations with other systems like snap circuits to build frames for holding stuff

Spike prime user here due to my robotics club which is FLL which uses spike prime, Its Amazing but dont buy it. Its super expensive and you need a lot of existing lego technic pieces to use it to the fullest extent. Plus you need to get the Fll challege season map because you have to you cant just use a bot for misc. reasons. If ur in middle school ask about the robotics club they probably use lego spike prime
