Vlad, that's how Georgia Parole and Probation system works. They give you split sentencing. I was locked up with a guy from Augusta, Georgia that had a 30 year serve 10 year sentence. He served about 2 years before he got his E.O.S. (end of sentence) number and got released so he had to do the remaining of his time on papers (probation) which was 28 years. My sentence was 10 years serve 2 years, so when I served my 2 years, I still had 8 years on probation and if you got locked up for anything drug related, the Pardons and Parole Board would double your restitution fees.

I pray that he doesn't. When we served our time, the prisons were overcrowded and they were trying to hurry up and get us in & out. It's all depending on Thugs past records and how many counts he's found guilty of. That second number when they sentence is what he'll really be facing. If that 1st number is way up there, sometimes they have the tendency to elevate that second number as well. The feds don't like picking alot of cases up that the state can handle in Georgia. My charges should of been federal, but they decided that they didn't want to touch it and turned it all back over to the state.

Lucky you was in Chicago Crunch, I went back to jail on the 3rd one and got another year of probation added on later. Then got back out and was clean for over a year but got ONE more dirty and got violated because of 1 dirty after over a year and a few months. Feds don't play around, especially if your PO is strict.

I know some of the guys if they just have violent or white collar crime or even drug distribution but don't have any history of use they won't test at all unless they find them intoxicated on a home visit or something. Federal PO been on my ass from the beginning, finally almost off in April after getting violated twice, sent to rehabs, halfway house, jail, almost back to prison, and both times they added another year of probation. This time I'm getting off this bullshit, have a daughter now.
