A 16 year old is not going to look up to a 30 or 40 something year old that acts and dresses like them. If they don't see progress in the OG's they're not going to see it in themselves. No matter what game you try to teach them. We fail the youth the most by not growing ourselves. You have to grow and use that growth to lead by example.

B High we Stay High - Crunchy Black I love a gentleman & a gangster in the hood who was like crunchy Black a gentleman who you could tell been through some things but will talk to me when I was young letting me know whether it was directly or indirectly be yourself you ain't built for this and I knew it when I was young jail drugs or a criminal lifestyle was not what I wanted...... The guidance that I got from people I'm so appreciative for... I didn't know what I wanted to be or who I wanted to be it took a long time to get to a certain point for me.... I'm sad when I see some of my young brothers and sisters go out way too early it's totally unnecessary If you're young and you're reading this ask questions do something positive with your life I struggle every day just being black in America that's enough to deal with... I don't need to be dealing with the streets too it's just a whole another headache some of us don't survive but if you're lucky enough to survive do the right things to the best of your ability it's nothing wrong with trying to make an honest living even if it takes us longer to get to our goals
