This is a surprisingly good anime. It's also the VTuber anime that I've wanted for *_SOOO_* long. Before "VTuber Legend," every VTuber anime was either a gag comedy or idol anime. They never actually simulated the VTubing scene as a whole.

@@midnitestate Tbf, lot of vtubers do have artist atl have some aspects of themselves be in the vtubing model. Making folk often go "Oh, yeah, they do have some similarities huh". Sometimes the resemblance it is subtle, sometimes it is pretty darn close (well as close as animified art can be).

I finally understand. This series is our normal as a VTuber fan. But it's meant to contextualize the shift that we all experienced and made commonplace for non-VTuber fans. If anyone likes this, I recommend you try the light novel too. It's licensed by J Novel Club and they've said before that sales-wise it's not really doing so well. They already have 7 volumes translated, and the tenth volume in Japan will conclude the main story

I'm currently reading the light novel and I'm really enjoying it. Although, I found the second volume to be weaker than the first. The gimmicks of the fourth generation didn't really work for me. I hope they expand their characters in the later volumes.

they can be very different depending on personality, but if you look at the most popular ones, like many hololive or vshoujo the majority of them are less idol-like and more quirky, like casually saying some very blunt or sus stuff, exaggerated reactions, alot of insider jokes, even the games shown in this anime are some of the most popular games for streaming. And yeah, they are also fangirling or are former fans of their colleagues. I think what the anime does not really go into are the hardships though, there is vocal training, there is alot of management, always needing to keep your identity hidden in real life when anyone could recognize you anytime by just your voice, there are antis and drama not everyone can handle well, there is alot of (often self-induced) pressure, like when you put alot of effort into something and views did poorly or when you are feeling like falling behind. I wish the anime would go a little deeper with that, so far it depics vtuber life as just being crazy and having fun with your workmates every day. Like she just casually going outside and characters wearing their characters outfits all the time, that's all kinda stylized.
