I think this issue with the anime is the interesting parts seemed to be set up at the end of the season for season 2. If I recall there were actual pirates at the end of the season which sounded real interesting instead of the showmen version of it. Something like that.

No f'n way. This came out when I was still in high school with anime fever. I skipped because of the name. If I would've given it one chance I probably would have loved this series. I barely found out about this song about 2 months ago and I'm barely finding out its the op to this show. I no longer have the same anime fever but hopefully I watch this show one day.

There are a lot of anime that I just don't feel interested in because they seem really strange and seem random. It is hard to watch them, sometimes that is the case and other times they have good characters and story which makes sense. this is one of the ones that look random, strange and episodic. So much wasted potential in this show. An intriguing plot, a rich and diverse cast of interesting characters, but neither the plot nor most of the characters were explored in depth. Especially the protagonist who, as likable as she is, is an insufferable Mary Sue. The protagonist has an answer for everything so even when there’s conflict there’s no tension because you know she’s just gonna figure everything out. So many interesting concepts that are introduced and then immediately forgotten.

@@CosmicFrenzy Indeed; from what I understand, the creator of at least one of the series chose 'bodacious' as a portmanteau of 'Bold' and 'Audacious', supposedly without even knowing that that is EXACTLY what 'Bodacious' originally meant in English.
