CRUSADE [Galena Theme]

My interpretation of what would be Galena's (Quake Champions) theme song! I was kind of envisioning how fighting game characters have their tracks that play while I made this. As an Unholy Paladin, I felt that Galena needed two things, a gothic vibe and orchestral black metal. Right? The beginning of the song is a little nod to Parallel Dimensions off of the Quake 1 OST by Trent Reznor and using piano to set the sort of set the orchestral tone that I would be pursuing with the track. In my head, I was trying to mix Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Nine Inch Nails, and Gojira while maintaining the Industrial Metal style I've established with the previous tracks, super challenging but really fun. Had to get some double bass and blast beats out of my system at some point. ;)

Galena has the symbol of the Serpent Riders from Heretic and Hexen on her armor, but her lore claims she worships Volkerh, one of the Elder Gods. Maybe this means that the three Serpent Riders are all associated with Volkerh. They might even be his sons.

I went into Corrupted Keep with this track, and man, what an experience... besides I totally missed every audio cue, it was still amazing.
