One of my favorite dragons fell in battle. Rhaenys Targaryen and Meleys were an amazing duo throughout the series.
The first battle of the conflict was heartbreaking.
The show's midseason was amazing!

Aegon has become such an amazing character in the show, betrayed and belittled by everyone including his family, I can’t wait to see him after his wounds…the only Targaryen to ever survive dragonfire outside of Dany’s immunity.

It's merely a political thing. Due to the division of the house between factions, he wears green to signal his allegiance to the greens. It wouldn't make sense for him to wear black at the moment, and that doesn't make him less Targaryen

It hurts to know that Vhagar and Melyes grew up together. They were born around the same time, and had bonds that were years long. I guess, if anything, at least it was an old friend in the end for the dragons.

Meleys did not grow up with Vhagar lol. Vhagar was a solid 100 years older, and was ridden by Visenya in the conquest. I think you might be confusing Meleys with Meraxes because their riders were both named Rhaenys. Meraxes was ridden in the conquest by Aegons younger sister, Rhaenys. The one the rode meleys in the dance of dragons era was named for Aegons sister.

Just because she was forced to take that route out doesn’t make it her fault. That lies on the Hightowers for forcing her into that position. She would be a hostage or killed due to her possession of Meleys. She needed to get out with her dragon and the crowd was her safest option. As Erryk said, the outside was heavily guarded. She didn’t want to harm them, they were collateral damage. I will kill to save myself in certain circumstances but that doesn’t mean I’m pro world war 3.

My problem with both the show and actually people arguing over who should have sat on the iron throne is that neither of the chosen candidates were raised properly to take up the position of ruling. Neither of them know or knew what they were doing. So realistically neither of them should have sat the throne and who ever was taught to rule the most should have and that was probably Deamon or Rhaneys.
