All the Old events are still in the game, but since Way of Life revamped the way you get your events they are locked behind choosing the corresponding focus and having very low base skill, your event for example would show up if you choose the Business focus and having very low stewardship.

CK2 was such a beautful game. You could lie, cheat, steal, and incest your way into being a continent spanning empire. You never had to declare war once if you were clever enough. Then they added dlc, and more dlc and more... and more and more and more! Now every interface has a damn button on it that adds a marginal gain in some obscure stat.

CK:2 is absolutely fine without any DLCs. It really nailed the roleplaying and style right out of the gate. It was a game about crusading and succession. I don't know what CK:2 is about anymore. Still love the game, but it got a lot less cohesive as time went on.

Those 2 events are still IG btw. Though the chasm one is incredibly rare, and the other one requires the...bussiness focus? And stewardship below 8. Can be quite profitable with the right choices, and give a fair amount of stewardship. 10% salt on free turnips means they're chugging those turnips like salty potato chips and then buying extra booze to wash it down, I believe the eunuch is a positive not because he's remotely good, but because no one can actually look away or leave.
