Just wanted to try to let you know, You can have as many children as possible, Inheritance only goes so far down the list of Children. You can also give conquered counties and duchies to your spare children so they don't eat into your primary domain every time you pass. Though keep in mind Inheritance may go down only 3 children but if you have 10 children you need to give them all land to avoid this. Your law is also equal so girls are just as good as boys, The main reason you don't see that with your primary title is because Sweden has added laws (That you can take off) "Male Preference' and "Scandinavian Elective" It would be in your best interest to take both of these laws off the title for prestige at your earliest convenience. Like this comment so he sees it T.T

Hey Many A True Nerd, I don't think you quite understand the Usurp Title interaction. All it does is usurping/taking the title in question, it does not transfer over ANY territory with it. With you taking over the kingdom title, the former king was reduced to a duke, and therefore the other dukes previously under him becomes independent. I guess you thought you received territory because you were looking at the de jure map mode immediately beforehand. Definitely understand the confusion, just trying to help :)

Final note: You are falling into a trap I recently fell into: when going for an Empire title, remember that until you get off Gavelkind if you have multiple Kingdoms each heir will receive one. And since you need multiple Kingdoms to form the Empire, you can easily screw things up if you create the Empire titles too early. Elective succession laws can get around this, though keep in mind Sweden and Norway are technically different culture groups and it's hard to ensure everything ends up on the same heir. What I do is acquire the land under one Kingdom title, and only make the others once I have all the necessary land and Gold to make the Empire happen. That way if my player character dies everything important goes to one heir, who can just continue the process. Also, if you feel your heir isn't going to win an Elective succession, there's nothing stopping you from changing the succession laws.

Hey Nerd, you can actually see how your champions did in every individual battle. From the units/knights they've killed to any injuries they may have gained/inflicted. Check the top right battle reports for more. The reason why that county in Ireland wasn't fully occupied was because there was another castle constructed there, look up baronies/cities/temples in county building Also supplies can be regained just by standing in a well enough developed teritories, even occupied ones, so no need for disbanding and spending extra time and money on embarking. splitting your armies for a bit works wonders. @Jon - Moderator for one a large CK3 streamer here. Some of the systems involved here are very opaque regarding education and differ from CK2 with no indication that they do. A few things for educating the children: The final level of education is based off the sum hidden dice rolls that check each year, with bonuses given if the child is educated. Ideally you want that sum to reach 16 or more for a tier 4 education. For simplicity, there are two forks that you should look at in the educator: 1 - Intelligence traits. Bonuses are given for educators high to low in this order Genius>Intelligent>Quick OR Shrewd 2 - The level of education of the educator (NOT the type). If you're focusing a child on martial, you have a better chance of getting a good result with a Tier 4 diplomat than you do with a Tier 3 martial. 3 - Special - If you have a university built the lowest possible result you can get by sending your child there is a Tier 3 and it will almost always be a Tier 4 (with a small chance of turning them into a drunkard) Children with intelligence traits also get bonuses to these rolls. A genius child can *probably* absorb a sub-standard teacher (say a Tier 2) and still come out well educated if you want to keep someone sweet by letting them educate a 3rd or 4th born child. The die rolls and the exact numbers can be sussed out if you really want to look through the game files but the above covers the broad strokes that a parent within the world would understand but to a player just isn't evident anywhere.

@konradkurze10674 жыл бұрын
53:30 'Finland will join us once Scandinavia exists' based off this and some other comments I'm assuming you don't 100% understand how creating/usurping titles works. When you gain a new title peacefully via creating it or usurping it, you don't gain any new vassals or land from that. All you gain is the title. That title will then let you expand easier (generally via war, but if you have a great diplomat then you can do it via diplomacy too), but the reason all those rulers became independent when you took King of Norway was because they had no de facto higher tier ruler (the previous King became a Duke, and his Duke vassals can't be vassals to a Duke, so independence). When you claim the Emperor of Scandinavia you won't gain any land, and Finland will still be an independent nation.

I think Jon has found his optimum way of playing this style of game. Just pick a Civ that has the ability to raid, wage war and get rewarded Piety for killing people. And all of it being considered as not exactly playing as the bad guy.
