@@vincentwhite938Legends from around 1200ish in "the Matter of Britain" described King Arthur campaigning against the remnant Empire of Rome and conquering most of Western Europe. (Which probably would have been set around 400-600 AD) Maybe not so historically accurate but it was a popular tale among the Welsh apparently and even the English and French adopted it to a degree. The stories about King Arthur were inspired by the very real Roman usurpers of Britannia and Gaul as well as a few major victories the Britons won against the colonizing Anglo-Saxons before being pushed to the peripheries of Britain.

I think kingdoms with names of culture (the greeks) are peasant revolt related to a different culture than the lord ? And the revolt won the war, then maybe after that, the conqueror of England subjugated it ?

Yea, I had a game where a kingdom called "the french" showed up in Abbasid France, but then France broke away from the Abbasids, so we had "the french" chilling next to France.
