Honestly (in my opinion) this whole song sounds like, if you think about it, like your being put into metal sonic's point of view. In the first verse of the song it sounds like metal's situation with eggman. That is why this is my favorite crush 40 song, it sounds like its about my favorite character in sonic the hedgehog.
