This chess speedrun is all about explaining my moves and educating those of you watching (and hopefully enjoying), please let me know anything I can improve below!
Today my opponent plays a Sicilian Defense where I love playing a strange 2.a3 sideline Gambit opening against the Sicilian Defense. My opponent accepts the gambit against his Sicilian Defense and things get pretty wild. A3 Sicilian Gambit For the WIN

Love to hear it man, the Mengarini is really powerful imo, even if the opponent doesn't allow the gambit lines

Fascinating game Alex. You earned your points on that one! Sure the engine found many mistakes, but I liked the game anyway because it really showcased your thought processes. And your end game was masterful. Cheers.

@ChessCenturion Yes, indeed Alex. Encouraged by your guidance, I've begun trying this surprisingly effective response to the Sicilian, whilst using the Vienna with white as well. Cheers.

Well played, my friend. That endgame was very instructive. You did a great job managing your time, finding an idea, and making it work. My endgame skills are seriously lacking. I've lost way too many of those theoretical draws.

Hey man I stumbled upon your channel a couple days ago and you are a great teacher! I recently got into chess and would love a video on helping 700-1300 rated players. Nonetheless I love the videos and have helped me tremendously

Hey man, love to hear you're finding the videos useful! You may find the first 10 or so episodes of the speedrun particularly useful as they're in the 1000-1300 range if you haven't seen those already?

there was a position in the endgame(and yes you were still winning ) but u could have sacced the roook on h5 and if pawn takes then king takes bishop and you would be be in a winning king and pawn endgame
@ChessCenturion

Yeah it was a complicated endgame for sure, especially on low time. What timestamp is your comment referring to?

So, at the end of the game, you could have played Rg7, to trade on g6 and win. Instead, you chased his king all the way over to that side of the board, and decided you could trade on g6 and win. I know you didn't have a lot of time, but a book that can help you with the understanding of rudimentary endings, is the greatest chess book of all time: BCE by Rueben Fine

At 14:05 Qb3 threat Bf4, In your line after Qa4+ Nb5 c4, Your Qd4 seems good to, same idea as mine with Bf4 to follow, but I like Qb3 on the white squares. At 24:41 Bb5 like you suggest. It gets rid of another piece and black's light square bishop is bad. It's a won game, anyway at this point. At 26:52 Qa5+ if Bd7 Bb5... Good Game! Analysis. You have to take the knight with the rook since mt is threatened whereas you must give up the queen, at 56:05. Though there was f6 which looks awful.

So the plan is (and you'll be able to find videos in my a3 sicilian playlist with these kinda games) Nc3 Bc4 (Ba2 after e6 to justify a3 so d5 doesn't come with tempo) d3 and either f4 Nf3 or h4 h5 to go after the fianchetto structure. Hope that makes sense?

There is this video from GM Igor Smirnov on traps in the Mengarini, kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6qxnn-vpbmVetU related to your game. Now I have to learn how to play it as black... At 41:50 I thought you were lost if black played Bh1, as I saw no defense for the mate. The computer defended it, however. Around 42:53 all the black pawns and bishops were secured and it was necessary to give back an exchange.

Funny how you explain you don’t want Be3 and then play it anyway.
