As a woman who was in a mentally/emotionally abusive marriage for 5 years this movie touched major nerves....I couldn't watch fluidly, I fast forwarded scenes. My "rescuse" took place when ex decided the grass was greener on the other side and divorced my behind...a blessing in disguise... but GOD doesnt sleep. My Ex had 3 failed relationships after me and was badly mistreated in all of them. Guess who is the woman he turns to sometimes for conversation? And though I talk to him from time to time I'll never go back....the past is the past, but the pain I felt still resonates five years after divorce. Im totally glad to be single.

The film goes straight to the heart of marriage issues, which is what makes it so powerful. Ladies never lose your identity for another person's sake. Never compromise your character for anyone. A healthy relationship is a relationship in which there is balance in giving and taking, where there is mutual appreciation and a building up, where there are honest words of appreciation without any taint of manipulation. Red flags about man are always there at the beginning before you get married, so women please be aware of them. I can relate, very sad. The red flags are always there. Ladies having your own money as a female is so important..... wow beautiful movie, it felt like I'm watching Denzel Washington and Taraji P Henson. There are no words to express my admiration for this masterpiece movie. It's one of those movies I'll watch over and over again. This one is especially for us ladies, we can have everything but if we're not happy then what's the point? I can relate to this movie. Today's women have more opportunities but we also still face daily challenges and problems. We face the pressure of the world and at the same time try to keep up and maintain our peace. I have friends who are still stucked in toxic relationships and others died in the name of love, very sad. Angela, you are a star and to play along side Frederick wow perfect to watch. Please, people should learn to marry their kind. All these irrationality of hoping and wanting to change people from who they were when you met them, personalities which, for the most was the reason for the initial attraction, must STOP! People are definitely going through things in marriage, and I think serious conversations around marriage work life balance, religion, choice of church after marriage, nature of job after marriage, mode of cooking or feeding, etc MUST be genuinely discussed and possibly documented for purpose of clarity, especially if marriage is in view. While Tony Briggs had a point initially about the timing of the wife's job, and her assuming her position in the home front, he lost me totally when his unholy jealousy and high level of insecurity got the better of him! This movie was everything properly curated. Lines were perfectly delivered, dialogues interesting, cast beautiful and story relatable! Thanks to the team for a perfect production! This movie is a must see and share. Fredrick will scare you in his intense portrayal of his character and mental disorder and personality sickness he portrays. Angela's character's naivete and lack of survival instincts as she sinks into the abyss that is her husband's miserable and evil personality will frustrate you as her character fails to listen to your warnings to her to think, believe what she is seeing, and flee for her life. Not only can Angela write and act, she can SANG. This film deserves to be WIDELY viewed and nominated for film awards. Fred understood the assignment. His portrayal will frighten you....
