CHECK THIS OUT--> A LOT OF PEOPLE ASKED IN THE COMMENTS WHERE TO BUY THIS! This is a 1983 John Deere 111 Lawn Tractor. The only modifications done to it are that it has a welded differential in the transmission, I reinforced the bracing that holds the transmission in the tractor. I welded on a 2 inch receiver to pull trailers. It’s got all-terrain tires on it, a custom exhaust with an off the shelf muffler from tractor supply. And I removed everything under the tractor that has to do with the mower deck. This can be done to just about any lawn or garden tractor, what you really want though is a manual gearbox! I was one of five boys in the late seventies. Dad bought his first lawn tractor. We took the deck off made a mud slick and beat the heck out of it ultimately Barrel rolling it down the back gully and using it as target practice with the shotguns. Long story short ,we pushed mowed the rest of our lives while living there.

The tractor is a 1983 model John Deere 111. This was not running and sitting in someone’s backyard. The gentleman gave it to me. He gave me another one just like it but it was in pieces. I used the motor from the spare to make this one run. I invested maybe $300 USD for little things like fuel line, new drive belt, tires etc. I welded the differential gears in the transmission solid. Remove the mower deck and mower deck parts/ controls. This modification can be done to almost any lawn or garden tractor with a manual gear drive transmission. Hydraulic transmission is not desirable because if you change pulley ratio the transmission might get damaged and fail. I show how to do this on my channel with several build videos!

You’re correct! Not until I eventually get a couple truckloads of soil in there. This was caused by a flood last week and the creek is what expanded out into the yard. It took away a lot of dirt. Because I had just tilled it the week before.

😂 I hear you! Unfortunately this was our garden before a flood happened to it. We made the best of it by driving our mud mowers through it….now there are tomatoes, squash, cucumbers and peppers growing there. These old lawn and garden tractors make excellent off road vehicles for super cheap. They can also be used for work too!
