You are a lucky man to have your fishing buddy be your significant other. That said, you need to be sure shes fully prepped for the situation. Shorts are a wee bit optimistic for November in the Northeast, let alone New England. Could be the difference between an extended or shortened day at sea. I've been there. Phenomenal video and trip!

If you cut them in half and then put them on the hook the back shells will come off pretty easy

How big is that jig? Looks 2oz+ you cant be in deeper than 20-30ft. Why so heavy? Current just ripping thru that spot or personal preference

I like using 3 oz, gets me to the bottom quickly and helps fight the current. plus sometimes I am fishing 50 feet
