@Anon1m936 жыл бұрын
if the other guy shows there KK or AA u would`ve said , what a great laydown ...is just a read he had on that guy ...like he said "tight guy i didnt expect him to do that with jj " so sometimes u play the oponnent not the cards.
@James-uh9il6 жыл бұрын
That was actually a very smart move regardless. His stack was deep given the stage of the tournament and the other guy had him covered. There is absolutely no reason for him to risk his tournament life for a hand like pocket queens with a deep stack like his. Also he was out of position with many people behind him. No point in calling that at all.
@stephenstrain10626 жыл бұрын
He would of got the J in the door.
@Vahn4216 жыл бұрын
I agree folding QQ against a tight player that makes his first move like that isn't a bad decision. It's likely his only range for making such a move with plenty of BB's still is JJ, QQ, KK, AA or AK. You're 50% at best, unless you're lucky enough for him to do that with JJ... but the odds say you're beat. Now if this guy was going all in more often, this would be an entirely different story.

You let the tilt take control with that jj jam. Keep in mind that good tournament players loosen up as the bubble approaches, but even so the QQ hand could have been a fold or call. If you jam there you will only tighten his range against you and fold out all bluffs and worse pairs. It sucks to be out of position and if a king or ace drop and then face a cb you will have to fold, so the fold is ok. Harrington has a couple great books on tourneys. Keep in mind they were written 15 yrs ago so ignore the range and betting advice but the ch on icm, bubble, etc is still useful. Gl man, love the vids

Man those double-board bomb pots look *insane!* Fantastic run. Also folding Queens there is totally fine -- in a cash game it's probably a snap call but in a tournament near the bubble your logic is fine -- no need to be risky.

How do these Texas clubs work? I know they dont take a rake, and there is a membership fee, as well as an hourly charge. But do they tax winnings when you cash out? I saw a print out when Brad cashed out. Just curious how they navigate around the laws, and how the nearby casinos haven't lobbied to get rid of these...

Man I HATE those double board bomb pots...never have any idea where I am in the hand. The pots have a tendency to get pretty big, and the vast majority of them chop. Overall, I guess they can be good for the game, but I've never had an issue with getting action at TCH. I always call for a single board when I have the bomb button, and will generally sit out the double boards.
