The amount of info condensing is awesome. Color, line shape, min max points, small multiples all in one visual.

Love your presentation style, Patrick! Clear, informative, and I found myself smiling the whole way through. Keep it up! btw- I like how you show the problem-solving process (including the attempts that didn't work) because you're teaching us how to figure out new solutions on our own.

Thanks Patrick! I love small multiples but like you, I have only recently started playing around with them. Unfortunately the lack of asynchronous y-axis is a real blocker for me since my scales are usually very different between my dimensions and I really need different scales. I saw it's in the road map but still waiting on it to really start using the feature.
@pabeader19413 жыл бұрын
Synchronous axis are a hallmark of small multiples. if you are having scale issues, create 'cheater' measures that adjust the values to match the overall scale.
@sibinsunny53233 жыл бұрын
@@pabeader1941 will appreciate if you can give more direction around cheater measure to dynamically scale the small multiple axis. Though I like the small multiple feature but to what @Evn said most of time the categories need different scale.
@pabeader19413 жыл бұрын
@@sibinsunny5323 You don't change the axis scale. You change your 'data' to match the scale. I do it often when you want to show multiple lines on the same graph and one of them is much smaller then the rest. In some cases I've had to multiple by 100 just to get them to be visible.
@dpi3.142 жыл бұрын
Indeed, unsynchronized y-axis is a must-have feature. I couldn’t believe they didn’t add it by default. I think like half of scenarios where I could use small multiples is blocked now, basically I can only use it with relative kpi’s but not with absolute values as they always vary a lot

Hi Patrick, I Used your beatiful example in many of my Power BI courses but since Feb 2022 version it does not work anymore. If i dont use ALL in sumerize then all the small m should become green because of filter context but now some will be green and some red????. ALL still works, AllSelected is also weird is do show the red one but not the green one, what happened?

Hi Patrick, thank for the video! I was recreating my own example based on this and I created the exact same measure as you for the background color, but I keep getting an error when calculating the _bottomCountry saying that "he gets multiple values while one value was expected". I'm not sure why he's giving that error in my example
