I've known Sonic long enough that the franchise really is struggling. The 90s were the best time of his career, but Shadow the Hedgehog's own game and Sonic 2006 (stupid rushed production) put a royal damper. The Sonic Boom game and TV show (never reccomend it) really crushed him. This answers one question: you can only be a legend for so long until your own fame can backfire on you. Sonic Mania brought the Franchise to life with classic style. But as long as Sonic is never forgotten, he's still an icon next to Mario

Not only your body, but your brain, too. Constantly being on-the-move and in "gotta go fast" mode is super stressful, and 30 is around when most people begin to recognize that the intense speed and pressure is bad for them, actually. This song reads to me like a love letter to the Sonic franchise that also acts as a helpful stepping stone for anyone struggling with their transition into turning 30 and "not being young anymore."

It is kinda interesting how in the past few years... - Sonic movies are doing well. - Sonic Prime is chosen as best Netflix Animated Show of 2023 - Sonic Frontiers is literally him changing his ways and coming back with a commercial win. - And even more Sonic pulling through, staying true to himself and Sonic Team not giving up until they made it... Made SEGA to reconsider its approach to many of its old IPs and now new Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Streets of Rage and Crazy Taxi in development.
