Nanny and the Moose - Crushing Their 80’s

Nanny and the Moose - Crushing Their 80’s

Күн бұрын

Last night Nanny’s waking thoughts of her knee injury and her future, etc…. got the better of her and she had a feW EO’S. (Emotional outbursts)….and woke Mooosie up by blowing her nose so much. Her intention was to wallow all day in bed with the covers over her head….but true to form….just like her mom….she pulled herself out of it…and here she is. You’ll enjoy Moosie’s rabbit hole stories about her mom….(turn up your volume as he is speaking from Moosie’s World)…and some ways to “beat the Holiday Blues”. ❤️

Thanks for the pep talk. I'm 87 next month I'll be 88. My life is so messed up fell 2 times and with the pain spend most of my time in bed. Have a brain concussion and 3 broken vertebra, like you the bed is my happy place. Tomorrow I'm getting up dressing and putting on makeup, thanks to you. Prayers and again thanks

@nanashouse5526 I found the most beautiful promise in The Bible that will BLESS YOUR SOCKS OFF! Psalm 103:3 is one of the many times God promises to heal ALL our diseases. The many, many people I know personally, including me, who choose to believe God says what He means and means what He says, get healed EVERY SINGLE TIME. This promise covers all illness, including stage 4 cancer. Choose to believe God Almighty, and you will recover. I promise! I've seen it and experienced it too many times for anyone to try to talk me out of believing this promise.

Nanny, when I feel myself slipping into pity, I always say…”Flip the Pancake before it burns. “ All of a sudden I’m better, a lot better. I picture every day as a big beautiful cake…sometimes it goes flat and then it’s a pancake…it’s too good to throw out…so I flip it. It’s just my little way. It’s a beautiful day! May God richly bless you and Moosie with everything you need the most. I love your videos!

I also sent for a fire blanket ,never had one before, and hung it on a lnew hook in my kitchen ,two nights later the kitchen smoke alarm sounded,we ran it it was full of smoke and our new microwave had flames inside.I graphed the fire blanket and through it over it. It worked a treat and was folded up later to use again.so thank you nanny.❤

❤🎉😮 Oh dear Nanny -- I'm sorry for your crying (don't get me started), but look how washed and fresh and rejuvenated it made you.. 😊 You are absolutely glowing and gorgeous and radiant in this video!! 😍❤️😁🙂 I loved this video and was mesmerized by your story telling, and Moosie's too!! You are so honest and "raw" with us and that is very endearing. And please know this -- your visits are much needed and appreciated happy places for those of us going through very difficult situations. I love hearing from you so much!! 😘🤗🥰 (No pressure, hah!) Your beauty and perseverance and spirit just burst through the screen of my tablet -- and it inspires me. And so do your words of faith and prayer, thank you. ❤️💖 I know you need your rest, but thank you for your videos. Please make them only as you can. And very Merry Christmas to you, Moosie, and all your dear family!! ❤️💚💖🥰😍🙏🎄⭐🧑‍🎄

Nanny, I just turned 76 and will need surgery soon on stenosis in my cervical spine. I lost my precious husband June 5th. I cried all day yesterday, too. I couldn't stop. I think I needed to cry because I haven't cried much because I didn't want my children to worry more about me. I think we both had a pity party yesterday because I do feel better today. You are a joy and a bright spot when I watch you. I hope 2024 will be a better year for us. Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family. Love and hugs to you and Moosie. ❤

Having to slow down and not being able to do the things you want to do is frustrating and frightening. But since you are having to stay home, this is a good time to spend time talking ( and listening) to our heavenly Father, reading His word, and celebrating the real reason for this season. Sometimes we get too busy to do that. Tell Him your worries and ask Him to guide you in His will. I am praying for your recovery and thanking Him that you have such a wonderful, loving family!

Thank you SO much for being REAL! I’m 61 and each time I’m going through rough stuff I start constantly questioning myself of why I can’t handle things like I used to, when I see so many mature women online NEVER complain and seem like they have EVERYTHING together. So positive. I used to be so strong and positive, but since I lost my husband eight years ago and as I get older I feel like it’s so much harder. I don’t want to see anyone struggling.. breaks my heart. But now I know I’m not just being weak… that others struggle too. Getting older is not for the weak.

Awww Nanny, you are such a good soul. I appreciate you talking about aging and realizing that we are no longer spring chickens. Lol. I'm going through this right now. I just feel myself slowing down and I just don't like it but I'm so grateful to be here. I think it's OK to have a good cry once in awhile. It helps clear our heads and puts things in perspective. It's just another chapter in our lives. It makes it harder though because we are used to being active . I think God is telling us to slow down and smell the roses. 😊 I will pray for you to heal. You just take one day at a time and enjoy your time with Moosie. Sending love and hugs. ❤

"A Good Cry Cleanses the Soul and is good for you" ~ The best gifts my parents ever gave my sister & I were not purchased ~ We asked my mother to " DO HER CHRISTMAS SHOPPING IN THE HOUSE" & pick something SENTIMENTAL, each of us would love! Our old "Elf on the Shelf" (we had since little kiddos) went to my sister and I got the special tin Santa, which Santa Claus filled with chocolate every Christmas Eve.🥰 She continued doing this every year & it was the absolute highlight of Christmas for all of us!! ~~~ Merry Christmas ~~~

Awe Nanny, when you said that you cried all night, my heart hurt and I just wanted to reach through the screen and give you a big, long hug. This time of year is very emotional - our bodies may be in pain, loved ones are gone, traditions change, and as we age, we mourn those losses, and our hearts cry. God gave us emotions and tears for a reason…it’s absolutely human. We love that you are real and open…because listening to a Pollyanna all the time can make us feel like our lives aren’t measuring up, when in fact they are putting on an act for KZbin. That’s tiring and fake! You’re not fake!! We all have ups and downs…we just have to try another day, and you are doing that. I know you will feel much better when your pain lessens and you can drive around again - there is something to that loss of independence that really gets to a person. This too shall pass, sweet Nanny…just enjoy some movies as you heal. Sending Christmas love to you, Moosie and Shamu🎄❤🎄

I am a therapist and the healthiest thing a person can do is to release emotions ie have an EO as you call them. However we must make sure when we do we are in a safe place to do so and with a safe person. Never dump anger on another person. I have a huge bean bag chair in my office and a big red bat and they beat up what they are angry about. Release helps get the person’s thoughts off the hamster wheel. Plus release of energy the storm makes room for the Holy Spirit to in dwell and bring His peace and healing balm that calms the soul and mind. Suppression created depression. The human soul needs to grieve. Love you merry Christmas 🎄 to you and Moosey.

Back when my kids were preschool age, I would try to go all out for Christmas & then when Christmas & family gatherings were over & it was time to put the decorations away, I would be depressed for a week or more. The same would happen after going on vacations one family reunions, I would be really let down facing everyday normal life. Then I decided to have a plan or project to start as soon as the holiday or trip or reunion was over. That way there was something out of the ordinary to look forward to & I wasn’t depressed.

Dear Nanny I watched this video yesterday evening in bed, so am responding today. I feel for you and you now having to learn to cope with your current situation. The good news from your doctors is that your problem can eventually heal. That is wonderful news to hang onto. Also another wonderful gifts to hold on to is your God given faith in Him. An its also ok to let it out with a good cry (shedding of tears is healing), to have a down time, to take is slow and easy,. Shamu is also a blessing as cars if allowed near us on our bed, know when we feel down and they purrrr sometimes to help make us feel better. Its amazing how healing the love from an animal can be. Also its good to share your feelings with people you feel safe with. I am so blessed to have found your channel dear Nanny, because by your uplifting videos with so much many ideas, and sharing of yourself and your life, it has helped bring back in me the remembrance and the will to live, and back also bring back to my conscience the remembrance of what is truly important to focus on in order to live in today and spark some hope of faith to just keep living once despite some setbacks.and adjustments we may be faced with. You gave a wonderful talk a year ago (10 Things to Stop Doing Now to Fulfill Your Dreams For A Happy Future), and I am glad it is on your front page once again. It is a great pep talk with wise advice, I could not say it any better than you had spoken a year ago. These times of trial are also wonderful times to draw us near to the Lord and share our troubles with Him. He does promises to comfort us and bring peace to those who call on Him. God promises through His Word, to never leave us or abandon us and IS a constant in those choosing to believe on Him.. Praise God! as God also promises to not give us more than we can handle. I love you in the Lord dear Nanny and your Moose. Oh there is a quaint tittle hymn that goes God will take care of you. I hope you can find it on the u tube through the googling GOOGLE. Best wishes Always in our Lord and Savior Chris Jesus! 🎄🎇😀❤🙏💕🌿🎇🎄🌹

Dear Nanny, Sending huggs❤❤❤❤ -I'm so happy you have a leg exercise routine! This is the most important in all of this. Probably you should also train upper body muscles. You have to stay fit, other ways than usual, when you are lying down so much. Or you can quickly loose musclemass. Be sure to stay as fit as you are! It is extremely important!

The dish that you described with minced meat and tomatoes, Salamagundy, sounds medieval to me. I think I will have to try making it. Sounds good. I think that I too have a little bit of the holiday blues this year. We don't have any snow so far, and is warmer than usual. I think we will get that rain on Christmas Eve. I'm planning to make some rosettes to bring to my niece's on Christmas Day. My mom used to make. They are fried snowflake cookies dusted with powdered sugar. Maybe will bring to one of the neighbors also, who had lost her mom last month to cancer. I know that's sounds depressing, but will actually make me feel better to try and cheer them up. They say to do something to cheer someone else up, even a phone call or a Christmas card. Turn on some Christmas music. Or just stay in your nighty and have a good cry. Nanny, I confess that I stayed in my nighty all day today.🙀 I plan to go to church on Christmas Eve. I don't have presents for my niece's children yet, so I might have to "shop at home" or make some ornaments of some kind this year. Anyway, have a good rest of your Christmas week. Take care and see you in the next video. MJ♥️🎄🎅🦌🎀🎁❄️

At 82 I had knee replacement 3 plus months ago. Not in pain but no energy, still with walker and cane. First year ever I didn’t even put a Christmas wreath on door, no decorating which I love to do. So I’m having a pity party with you! But like you my nature is upbeat and I know this too will pass. Bless you for bringing joy to us through your KZbin channel.❤❤❤❤

I had both knees replaced 2 years ago and I’m just now walking “normally.” NOW people tell me, “Oh yeah, it takes a couple of years.” Of course, you’re making progress all that time.

Hi Nanny, we all deserve a pity party at least once a year. LOL Don't feel down for too long because I know you will be back up and running around as usual in now time at all. But just remember, you have to take it easy now so you can get back to your happy healthy self. I think I get my positive attitude from my mother also. I hardly ever heard her complain. I love seeing your old pictures of you and your family. Keep them coming along with all of yours a Moosie's stories. I so look forward to your videos. ❤

Hi Nanny and Moose, you are both so precious to your family and your viewers. Don’t worry you will walk again Nanny, I just know it. Just pray for healing and patience and it will happen. I started gifting my little granddaughters with my jewelry that is delicate enough for little ones and they get such a kick out of it. Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family 🎄

Good morning, Nanny. Indeed, the holidays are a time of much preparations, both tangible and intangible. And at a pace, slightly different, to the bodies norm. I, too, take to the bed. 😢 time, pray, and perspective. I raise the vitality and turn on music, then, put a pot of homemade chicken vegetables soup going. Exfoliate, bathe, oil and lotion, musk treatment in the hair, cozy clothing. Dinner and watch anything i wish on my IPad. Sometimes its great funny pet video, soothing all senses. 🙏 ❤Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Thank you, Nanny. I always enjoy watching your videos, always full of ideas, tricks, and tips. Have you ever tried the Emotional Freedom Technique? I have depression and anxiety disorder, and this helps me on the days I'm down it calms my nervous system. I hope you give it a try it's all over youtube and many videos on the subject. It looks simplistic and a bit out there, but give it a try. Love you, and Moose can't wait for the next video ❤

Hi Nanny, I am so sorry that you're going through this difficulty. I have EOs as well. I am 72 and have a good friend, 69 who is going blind with glaucoma. She is the most joyful, positive person and I am thankful that the Lord put her in my life. Whenever I get depressed, I always think of her. You have a wonderful personality as well and I will be praying this this season of healing will speed by and you will be restored to your active self. Many blessings.

Thank you for sharing Nanny, these “ down moments” can feel so debilitating but as you have just shown you can and do overcome them, I think nighttime is the worst I recently shed tears during the night for “everything “ageing & health being the main culprit ! but as you have shown we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, add a touch of “ lippy “ and carry on , you are a true inspiration Nanny. My thoughts are with you and Moosie ❤
