Yes, in Savudrija, near Umag. Peckinpah and cast were staying in Portorose during the filming.

I saw this movie....5 years old...on HBO....the T34 ...mines in the tracks scene....94 lollapalooza Houston, before Smashing Pumpkins set....sepia footage of the Wild Bunch machine gun scene..while..tripping on acid. Sam Peckenpaw.
