Plane Goes Into Flat Spin Before Crashing In Brazil, 61 Killed

This is the terrifying moment a plane crashed into a neighbourhood, killing all 61 people aboard in Brazil.
Video shows the ATR 72 twin-engine aircraft plummeting in a flat spin toward a residential community in Sao Paulo on August 9.
The plane reportedly landed in a fiery wreck with no survivors.
Airline Voepass said flight 2283 had departed from Cascavel and was bound for Guarulhos International when the accident occurred.
Voepass said in a statement: 'The company regrets to inform you that all 61 people on board flight 2283 died at the site.
'At this time, Voepass is prioritizing the provision of unrestricted assistance to the victims' families and effectively collaborating with authorities to determine the causes of the accident.'

That is a terrible tragedy. I have never liked the ATR. Their wings ice up easily, so they are not used much outside the tropics. This being Brazil, it is surely something else. But the plane has a narrow fuselage and narrow wings. I think they are unstable. A flat spin is death to most planes. I wonder if the weather played a part? It doesn't look too good, rather stormy. Winds shift rapidly in a storm, of course. A plane like that can lose its airfoil easily. Honestly, I'd like to see the ATRs grounded.At least until some substantial testing could be done. Prayers for the victims.

@@biosparkles9442 I know icing occurs because high enough up, the air is very cold everywhere. I thought the tropical zones gave a turboprop more chance to avoid the icing zone. After a horrible crash like this one in Indiana in the US (41°-42° latitude), most temperate zone carriers dropped the ATRs. The thin wing cannot handle much ice without completely losing its airfoil.

I mean he ain’t wrong, how many plane crashes you hear of ? Out of this tiny %, it happens to have couple elite doc who were supposed to show how they could cure cancer. I’m not saying it’s intentional, it’s unprovable. But if you don’t at least ask yourself the question you are the one on drugs. A cure for cancer would kill the huuuuge benefits some companies make out of that disease, huge money.
