I use magnetic clips to hang excess bags, clothes, etc. Camo wear on ship only, many Caribbean islands, it's a no no. Fast approaching 100k! 🥳

Always take a photo of your passport page (the one with the photo) save it in your phone and to the cloud. If you passport goes missing it is easier for the embassy to replace.

In addition to COLORED copies of your passport and driver's license, I also include all credit cards, front and back, husband's military DD214 papers, itinerary of trip along with where stayed and tour company, possibly copy of s.s. card, front and back of all medicare and insurance cards. It sounds ridiculous, but when I lost my passport in Rome, I was told 3 days to issue new one. I then showed them this info I had copied. I was then told they'd have my new (temporary) passport ready within an hour. (Note: I take these copies with me whenever I get off the ship and give a copy to my husband in case he needs it. I always use packing cubes. They keep me organized and pack efficiently . Most of my clothing items stay in the cubes until worn.

@@sirmay50 I like to hang shirts and empty socks and underwearvinto the drawers. The idea of a cruise is you only have to unpack ONCE, not live out of a suitcase.

Pack magnetic hooks to hang your toiletry bag on the bathroom wall instead of using the little sink space that's there. Get 30 pound or greater hooks and you can use them to hang up your outfit or beach bag/excursion pack on the walls in the rest of the room. I'm using them at home to hang up extra towels in the bathroom and my clothes for when I get out of the shower (the door hook is stubby but matches the rest of the 2 towel bars & sink/bathtub faucets). A cheap solution for home and travel.

Your carry on luggage has to be small enough to fit through the conveyor scanner just like at the airport. Check in your large suitcases. Small suitcases, backpacks etc will fit.

There is a luggage limit on cruises. MSC e.g. has a limit of 2 suitcases and 2 hand luggage per person not exceeding 100kg. Celebrity has max 90 kg. Carnival has weight limits as well. Other cruise lines have similar limits. The real limit is often what airlines permit if you fly in for the cruise.

If you pack your one free bottle of wine/champagne in your checked in luggage it will be confiscated. You have to carry your wine/champagne on with you as a carry on not checked.

We like taking magnetic hooks. We used a small USB fan and aimed it toward the swimsuits and wet shirts hung along the wall. I also use towel bands like someone else on here commented.

I bought the Lalage Beaumont Fontyn in medium tan last week at kislux and since receiving it I have been using it and neglecting my designer collection (honeymoon period maybe) , but I was really impressed with the quality and timing, right down to how they used it. Will wear it. I wish they would make this bag in a variety of pinks (i. e. sakura pink). There are actually many options to choose from.

You forgot bars of: shampoo, conditioner and body wash take way less room in your luggage and more rrom in your liquids bags if traveling on a plane before your cruise!

The only piece of advice that I do not totally agree with is about the universal benefit of four wheel rolling luggage. In an airport or other smooth flooring, they are great. On rougher surfaces and going up and down stairs the older two wheel variety is better because the wheels are bigger. The two wheels are better protected up inside the bag, while four wheels are sticking out and more prone to damage. On a recent flight to Fort Lauderdale for a Princess cruise the airline managed to nearly rip off one wheel. My room steward helped me tape it up to limp back home. Also the four wheels stick out reducing the interior bag volume. The two wheelers are more space efficient.
