Nicki's best interview hands down. She was open, honest, raw, blunt & most importantly-real. The audience was life tho.

Nicki is NOT saying she was the first to do it. Listen, she's saying that when she did the animated voices, no one respected her and thought she's crazy, but when males do it, they the king of rap and get praised and so on. it's a double standard. The interviewer is saying that she introduced it, which is definitely not the case.
@jamalbeezy55610 жыл бұрын
Maybe some people just don't like her as a rapper that's probably why
@papaiz110 жыл бұрын
And it's crazy because Kendrick does the different voices and he's hard...but it's funny no one really paid attention to Nick when she did it. Grant it Busta Bust and all the big homies like EM were doing it...but her point was sooooooo valid. She did her shit and people were like...tha fuck. I knew what she was doing though. Nick is hard lol
@sillynelson110 жыл бұрын
Simple as this. Kendrick's music has substance and meaning, Nicki's music is a bunch of random bullshit. Plus Kendrick's just a better artist all around.
@papaiz110 жыл бұрын
GrapeDrank25 ehhhh this is her life... and I like Kendrick. But it's irrational to say that her music is a bunch of random bullshit? this is her life... her struggle...that's what makes a true artist in music...Tht's why I bang Kendrick so hard. His struggle and success speaks to everyone. Just like Nicki.
@wildflowerjones28510 жыл бұрын
GrapeDrank25 If you don't like Nicki Minaj then why the fuck you on her videos idiot? Kendrick has 1 hit record. All they ever play is Swimming Pools. When Kendrick Lamar gets 10 songs on the top 100 at the same time then you can talk shit but he doesn't. You been a fan bitch. You on her videos.

THIS IS THE FUCKING BEST NICKI MINAJ INTERVIEW OF ALL TIME. We finally got insight into some things she has NEVER talked about before. We have NEVER gotten a two hour interview before. And especially not one to this deep caliber. I have been an Onika Tanya Maraj fan since 2008 and I have seen this woman and this artist blossom before my very eyes. The PinkPrint & this interview proves to the world that the kid is here to stay, and that the KID IS STILL HIPHOP. I love you so much Nicki, I will be a barb/stan forever- you are my queen, you are my idol, and I will cherish this interview and this insight into your story forever. Thank you. *salutes the QUEEN OF HIPHOP*

I appreciate Nicki Minaj a lot more after this interview and after listening to Pinkprint because it really does seem like she wanted to show with this album that she had bars. After listening to Blazing on her first record and enjoying it I felt let down by her albums after that and kept thinking if she can just give me bars and on Pinkprint she does her best to deliver bars. That's all a true hip hop head wants to hear a dope beat and an artist who can masterfully navigate you through the beat and paint you a picture like you have never seen.

I never saw it that way, but she's right. Eminem, one of the best, has been doing characters and weird shit for YEAAARRRSSSS but when a girl does it, the hip hop world cannot relate. I think it's because she's girl and men just don't "Understand" things the same way women do. And it takes other men who these hip hop men respect to say "I get it, check it" to take time to LISTEN and be like "Oh, haha, yea okay". And there are women who are like "No, I totally don't get the barbie thing" but those are the same people who think Eminem leads to high school shootings :P I have to say that when I was a child, I was drawn to eminem BECAUSE of his characters. And when I first heard Minaj on that mix tape, I was drawn BECAUSE of the characters + as a woman I related to everything she said. Rapping about "where the fuck is my MAC?" is something easier for a woman to get than these hard guys.

I love how with the album's interviews, she's putting people on the spot. She's confronting the people who only say she's a good rapper if she IS on a song with Kanye, Jay, or somebody else. With another interview, she said "you're not gay if you think Nicki Minaj is an ill rapper. Any secure ass man in themselves will give a female props for what she does."

10:17, I understand what she's saying. A lot of people diss Nicki cause she has never had a #1 on Billboard Hot 100 Chart or Christina cause she hasn't been doing so well on the charts and sales wise. But that's not what music is about. Its nice to have your song on the charts or to sell well but really, what's most important is the heart, the emotion and the effort an artist puts into a song.

15:35 she kept it real. Back then, people didn’t take her seriously. The reason people liked her on this song was because she sang alongside Jay and Ye. That’s was a defining moment for many people.
