2:06 As far as i know on Pro L-2 you don`t have clipping or "practically clipping" when True Peak Limiting is switched on. True Peak Limiting ducks the peaks down instead of cutting them off. To achieve clipping effect on Pro L-2 you have to disable True Peak Limiting and set the mode to "Transparent". It´s just a little more complicated than your Fruity Loops` Soundgoodizer =) Dope tutorial tho! Big up!

Just start any way you can, you’ll learn sound design skills along the way but it’s not the “right” or “wrong” way of making music. Check out peakaboo’s tutorials, he uses a lot of splice samples

Alright tutorial but as someone who is new to this genre, you’re missing a CRITICALLY important piece of information: sound selection. Sound design is hard so I don’t blame you for glossing over that, but sound selection is very important for people trying to learn a new genre. Without knowing proper sound selection, it is very hard to get the proper vibe for the genre you are going for

I see why considering they share a ton of similarities. A lot of dubstep uses a form of trap beat or vice versa, they mix together incredibly well during dj sets.

Heavy trap/hybrid trap has sound design based off of dubstep, this is trap cuz of the drum pattern and trap drums, if it was dubstep it would usually have a simple kick on the 1/4 and snare on the 3/4 pattern
